I have discussed this with eBay .... I would be more than happy to pay the $19.95, but as my stock is good second hand and variable, I would have to increase my prices to get a decent return..

I am more than happy to continue as I am, and in fact, posted the 1 MILLION offer on the discussion page earlier this morning ... to give the store sellers a lift.

I would just like eBay to be a bit more 'across the board' .... for example, the first half of this year, they were giving out 150 each month to non store sellers  ... (and I expect during that time, the poor old store sellers were missing out)   I think things changed when they offered the free re-listings.    I get the feeling eBay would be happier if everyone had a store.

Meantime, I hope the store sellers out there get a really good return from this offer, and get a heap listed  (don't think anyone will have  the time to list 166,666 items per day over 6 days. though?.)

Yes, I would like that too.  I pay for the $49.95 for featured store for 500 free buty-it-nows.  I also don't get free relists as I am registered as a business seller.  I never use anywhere near the listings at the moment, but the reduced final value fees for featured store generally covers the cost of the store.

BUT I would like to use more auctions as loss leaders or for the more popular items I sell BUT it costs me $1.50 a pop.

SO as a store seller eBay can throw 1 billion buy-it-nows at me but they are no good to me, I would settle for 10 - 20 free auctions now and again - which store sellers hardly ever get.

I have non-store IDs, but they do not help one little bit in driving any business to my store ID.

Let's see!!

1: They need to bump up the items for sale as a stockholders meeting is coming up.

2: Not as many small sellers are leaving as they visioned so they are trying to give them an extra boot!

3: Sales have taken a dive so they need extra items out there.

There must be more reasons for them to slow sales,(as adding another million listings will make others near

invisible)

Re: 1 million free listing!!!

Does anybody agree with this ?    And is there anyone out there who could cope with photographing, and listing 1 MILLION ITEMS OVER 6 DAYS ?   Then after 10 days (if you're lucky and get a high return of sales)   addressing and handling such a large volume of items?  I see lots of mistakes .... Resolution Centre be prepared !!

Doesn't this just encourage sellers to list a heap their rubbishy items,  .. and how can you be accurate when you're under such pressure?

I just don't know what eBay's is thinking .... and why can't they just do across the board promotions that help ALL sellers ... I would find ONE THOUSAND very daunting, but ONE MILLION ?? !!... maybe if they give the Store Sellers about 1000, ...  I'd be more than happy with 200 ?

Happy days !!!    🙂

Re: 1 million free listing!!!

RELAX...... ITS JUST A MARKETING PLOY PEOPLE . Even though I,ve got thousands of things to list, to be quite honest I couldnt be bothered working day and night to save twenty cents on a listing fee. ( just to be hit with the rollover fee if it doesnt sell ) Now the free auction listings for non stores, thats a different matter. I have been known to use 400-500 of those at a time when offered. If I can save $1.50 per listing it makes it worthwhile putting in the effort to use them up.
