Does any know of any free listings at the moment? Mine seem to have stopped recently. Thank you

not good news : non store sellers didn't get any last weekend and its looking a bit late in the day now for any this weekend (used to be every alternate)... sad as its encouraging us to list elsewhere

Yes ... I used to get them every couple of weeks. They don't really encourage sellers at all. Now with the new rules coming in ... buyers can return items, etc etc .... with no comeback for us.
I agree with buyer protection, but it seems to be going overboard at present.
If they drive the sellers out ... there won't be anything to buy !!!
I had a big let down with a buyer last week .... asked for an extention because she wanted bulk postage ... great communicator UNTIL the last sale .... then disappeared completely .... no payment ..... no contact. AND I can only give her positive feedback !!!
I'd love to hear from anyone who has an alternative .... I really enjoy selling on eBay, but find it's getting harder all the time.

not so much as an alternative dot but a sideline. once the transaction is paid for and you've paid your fees to ebay. I put my business card in the parcel and say if they'd like to buy a similar item direct with guaranteed sale and % off the cost due to no eb overheads contact me on my email address.
I only write that when payment has been on time or if they have emailed through the course of the transaction so I know they check their emails on a regular basis. and not for everyone as its too time consuming.
then you're not breaking ebays rules and they appreciate your offer. an alternative is gumtree which I know is hit and miss but so is eb these days.

Do you get many people respond to your card? Do many lead to sales?

I hope you lodged UPIs on every one of her unpaid purchases so that you'll at least recover your FVFs, and she'll receive the strikes she so richly deserves. That might make it a bit more difficult for her to do the same thing next time to those sellers who have non-payers blocked. BTW, make sure you put her on your BBL immediately.

Yes I did all of that. But she was one of the 'sneaky' ones. Had about 10 really good feedbacks .... sucked up to me and I was taken in. I have my buyer requirements set to avoid these pests .... especially after having one a couple of years ago who kept changing her i'd and then buying again.
Thank you for taking the time to reply .... I really appreciate it.

some do bp, and they buy time and time again, particularly overseas buyers, where if listing each sale through ebay you'd pay 10% also on the higher international post costs.

Actually .... the one I had a couple of years ago got away with it for 3 months. There were about four of us (sellers) sending warnings to each other when she cropped up again. eBay eventually caught up with her via the FRAUD SQUAD.
The thing that annoys me is that we are not protected from these types and can't even give negative feedback .... but a buyer can just decide they don't want something and say it didn't arrive, or it was faulty. I must say, I have some really great buyers and (cross fingers) things have been really good in the last year or so .... (shouldn't have said that, should I ?)
Thanks again
