i feel sorry for the store holders of late.
non store holders has had 3 lots of free listings over the past month.
yet store holders have only recived one offer of free listings for items over $100.00.
dont seem fair at all. i was seriously thinking of opening a store but will hold off for awhile.
to the ops cheers for the link.

I wondered about the start price too.I put mine up to $6 as i also learned about the .99c a couple of years ago.Anyhoo, when i got the less views thing i checked up on a seller who bought from me ages ago & sells similar brands. They were starting at $5,they got quite a few bad comms about their items (dunno if it's true, whatever) & their items had tons of bids going at very nice prices.Good for them,so i thought i would try it to see if i was just the start price.
So the last set of listings,i lowered the start to $5 & $5.50 as an experiment but it made no difference at all.

The last lot of free listings I listed one of mine with a 99c start price and it relised the 3 times and didn't sell. Each time it had 1 or 2 page views (probably from me), so I bumped the price back up.
Sometimes if something just keeps relisting over and over, I'll put the start price up and sometimes that has made a difference.
I think part of it comes down to who happens to be looking for what at any given time. Today everyone might be looking for what I've got, tomorrow they might be looking for what you've got.

I do too, it does seem VERY unfair. Not everyone has items over $100 they want to list. A few months ago I think they had 10,000 free listings for store holders, but there hasn't really been much since. Not all store holders have a non store account whereby they can take advantage of the free listing auctions. If one group gets it, then the other should get it too.

Mmmm, it's getting a little hard to take now - quite obvious they don't want us little guys around anymore !
Funnily enough, I never ever sell anything anywhere near $100, but the day after the last promo was announced I finalised a big custom order, wahoo, it came to $105 so I got 1 Free Listing !! Gotta laugh.
Hubby has a separate ID we use for like junk, garage sale type stuff, not a store, so might take note of some other suggestions and list there as well.
Happy selling everyone ๐

I'm thinking seriously of using a non-store ID as well, I only have a basic store but it's only advantage for me personally is the 200 free BIN listings a month. When non store IDs are regularly getting 150 free auction or BIN listings it makes me think there's not much point continuing to pay for a store when I can get more listings just by having two non store IDs. The slight decrease to FVF isn't worth much to me, and the 40 freebies a month being auction only is irrelevant with all these freebies.
I wonder if ebay is planning to phase out their lowest tier stores? There seems little point to them right now.

I will continue to covet a store with some auctions included in the package, like the US get.
I will keep my existing store, but am going to give the non store ID I shot with this offer as it is a more realistic time frame for me to get 150 listings live.
