Abusive buyer misuse of returns - unbelievable distress as a seller

Recently I asked ebay to help me because a buyer chopped the back off a platinum diamond ruby and sapphire pin to wear as a pendant - the wrote in messages they did this

Then...next day they started a return stating it was broken or damaged

i had documentation from an independant appraiser it was in good condition from an independent party I was never asked to provide this document..

I accepted the return

I reached out to ebay because this item was damaged...and changed....I don't know how to cover these losses as a seller there is no shop on the planet that allows buyers to alter items then forces sellers to accept back an item that may never be sold again and/or is damaged

By reaching out and asking for help I have now been told I will not get my final value fee credit back...I am being charged for asking for help

I NEVER ESCALATED THIS TO A CLAIM I JUST ASKED FOR HELP UNDER DURESS

I tried to discuss with the high value team but feel I have no rights

I feel frightened to start this conversation on ebay  and feel I will be persecuted further for it but I am terribly distressed at the treatment I have had

Hi colic,  you got there too,  I only had a quick look early this morning, just enough to get a whiff of something off.  I might get around to looking deeper  as I think there might be more than just drop shipping going on.

Interesting that an item identical to that in the ebay dispute,  comes up as unavailable sale pending

Yes, I am aware it is the same item, and you have confirmed that you are the seller off ebay which I had already figured out,

Can you please explain why an item in your online store, is then listed on ebay at more than double the price, and who supplies the independant valuation to the ebay buyer.

I pay subsidized fedex shipping and do not use australia post

I charge a capped $12.50 cost which covers perhaps the tape to wrap the box and the packing material inside the box - EVERY ITEM SENT IS PAID FOR BY ME FOR SHIPPING WITH FEDEX THE BUYERS COSTS SUBSIDIZED

when you do not know something don't make assumptions it's toxic

I don't know why some people are allowing this thread to be distracted by what the seller does elsewhere and what prices they set elsewhere. That's the OP's business and they can charge whatever they like on every different platform. That is definitely not the issue of this thread and is unfair to the OP.

Come on guys - the OP is only looking for help in dealing with an obvious scammer, regardless of what she price she sold it here for, and Ebay is certainly not helping matters.

i asked for help

I am an honest seller and my customers are happy I sell items as described and I am not on trial here to do that is jealous wrong and just raping another ebay member for the sake of it

I asked ebay sellers for help and was honest about my experience

you see I don't want this sort of scam to happen to someone else

i was actually trying to take care of other sellers

and instead many sellers have attacked me

I don't know why people are motivated to do that
