To open a bank account you need a certain number of points - Medicare - Licence - Passport - etc etc etc.

You have the documents if you have a bank account.

How did you plan to be paid for the items you sold in June?

Did you send them?

The only option for sellers to be paid is Managed Payments

You will not be paid otherwise

This is why you sign up before you list

Please stop posting misleading and inaccurate information. It does not help the OP and results in confusion for other posters.

https://www.commbank.com.au/support.banking.id-check-documents.html

Main documents include Proof of age card and Foreign National ID card, both of which are NOT accepted by ebay as primary id's for managed payments. The proof of age card has been noted in numerous other posts on this subject as that is the main source of ID many people have. Two forms of some non photo ID can also be substituted for photo ID for a bank account.

My wife had this problem. She is blind so no drivers licence and no passport. Her proof of age card was accepted for a short period by ebay then later rejected and her account placed on hold.

The only way she could get around the issue was to apply for a passport, purely to keep ebay happy.

Did you miss the point.

Several forms of ID each worth a certain number of points - doesn''t matter which - as long as you fill the points.

Did you miss the point ?

Many of the forms of ID that are accepted to open a bank account are not accepted by ebay for managed payments. The information in your post is wrong and misleading to both the OP and other forum posters.

Please stop posting false and misleading information.

The cost of a passport has just risen to $398 - the most expensive in the world.

Not many could afford to pay that if they just want to 'sell things around the house' to maybe pay their bills.

The ID needed to open a bank account include some of the necessary to open a seller account on eBay.

Did I mention Driver's Licence - yep - did I mention Passport - yep - so just where is anything misleading.

As a regular forum poster, you would be well aware that " What ebay says and what Ebay does " in practice are often quite different things. Also as a regular forum poster you would be well aware that there are numerous threads and posts stating that ebay DOES NOT accept proof of age cards as a valid form of photo id for managed payments.

Proof of age cards are the main form of government issued, photo id used by people with disabilities and others who for whatever reason are unable to drive motor vehicles and cant afford to travel overseas ( and buy a passport ).

If you dont know what you are talking about and have no experience on the subject of accounts on hold due to problems with photo id, it may be best if you leave the conversation to those who have had direct experience with this problem, or at least have informed themselves of the facts.

Your continued posting of misleading and plainly false information is not helping anyone and gives the impression of a poster who is more intent on arguing with others rather than genuinely trying to assist those with problems.
