Just to save me checking all the other threads or trying to work it out on the AP website, could somone please tell me the prices of 500g satchels next week? People seem to be saying the regular satchels will be cheaper than C&S....or was it regular parcels?
I'm a bit confused, and wondering if I should go and buy a load of regular satchels before the price increase.......which reminds me, how much is a regular satchel at the moment?
Thanks 😄

the weight and postcode are only being printed for parcels over 500g<<
I just posted two regular parcels today and the PO receipt shows the weight range and more importantly, the postcode for each. The tracking number is termed 'Article ID' .
Your receipt is very different to mine

Just to add to our problems (or mind at the moment), my PO has told me he and some other POs in our district are going to ban Click and Send as from Monday, because they didn't or don't get any payment out of it.
Man have AP top management made a mess of this or what!

C&S might run like a well oiled machine and be the bee's knees to some but the only times I have used it I ran into problems - such as the bar codes not printing properly so I was wasting pages and ink trying to get it right - then had to be on the phone to C&S to get it sorted. It worked eventually but was not my idea of 'streamlined'. Plus was not thrilled about the 'process' involved in paying for one little item's postage online via credit card (paypal would have been nicer but either isn't available or wasn't at the time).
The prepaid satchel + Dymo label (thermal, so no need for A4 paper or ink) + mailing in street box works best for me for smaller items. It may not dot the 'i's' and cross the 't's' as far as paypal is concerned (I don't know on that one yet, it might). But I simply take a photo of all my packages laid out ready to go so I have a 'record' of what I have sent on what day, all the addresses and what packaging used should I need any of that info.
I will continue while I have stock of prepaids and maybe any other teething problems will be sorted by the time I run out?

Paypal has been available for Click and Send for a long time now, I only use paypal to pay my C&S satchels.
a photo of your item will NEVER be enough for a Paypal item not received claim

Putney, I never implied I was using photos for paypal purposes! I use them for MY records. I don't recall the last time I had to lodge a missing/damaged article enquiry through Australia Post but if I had to atleast I would know a date, address and shape of package.

Yes. If you post a normal <500g parcel over the counter at a PO you will get a tracking number for that parcel on your receipt. You then need to add that tracking number to the ebay order details.
If you post a number of the <500g parcels over the counter at the same time you will either need to hope you get someone who knows how to add a post code to each one on the receipt (seems some say its easy as long as you tell them before they start and others say its not possible at all) or you need to come up with some other way to remember which tracking number goes for which parcel.
I think for peace of mind I will pay the extra 20c then at least the tracking numbers will be assigned automatically.

That was the point of my whole post that you originally quoted back at #17
You don't have to pay the extra 20c. You can use C&S and get the lower price simply by not using the promo code

At 20c extra for click & send I will be using that for the convenience of everything, including paying with Paypal, except actually lodging them over the counter being done on line.

A loophole that I am sure AP will pick up on soon no doubt. It actually puzzles me that they never factored in that scenario when planning the next pay increases.
Kazbar I get what you are saying, and yes it will be cheaper but just the whole thing of having to manually enter tracking numbers, as somebody else has pointed out already, why if we get a tracking number wrong?
I am still not convinced that using this method will be enough to satisfy Paypal's requirements.

I've input a wrong tracking number & the system told me it was incorrect 🙂
