I am having so much trouble with Australia Post delivery lately, and just wondered if anyone else is having similar problems.
I use eParcel for all our deliveries, and have had quite a few items in the past few weeks that have taken over 2 weeks to be delivered. When tracking these items, they haven't even been updated in the AP system since the lodgement! I have tried contacting AP but all they do is just open another case *sigh*. Sometimes the item turns up, but quite often the item is never seen again... well at least is never returned to us!
I have also considered using the insurance option for my parcels, but that is only going to increase the cost. Is there a way that this insurance can be an option that the buyer can choose as an extra charge if they wish to??? I have looked into the postage options, but can't find anything for insurance.
Any feedback, help or suggestions?

yes they all have faults thats one of the reasons i use a courier is that in 95% of cases a courier rings the buyer and at least if the buyer answers can have a quick is it ok to leave it and were would you like it.
just tis morning now i have got a message from a buyer in nsw , which by the way i sent yesterday arvo, thanks for the quick delivery and had a call from the driver and i said he can leave it at my back door thanks and he did.
have a nice day

but i will explain what it does , i was over his place maybe a year ago. and i tryed it. not like your website that i dont mention and now there is another popinh up now. you dont put in an id and search, you put in 2 or more ids and it will say match or dont match in certain words. my friend typed in 2 ids both his and a match came up , then i tryed my id and with some oneelses and it said no match. now if this program matches the person or there ip address i dont know, so maybe i will try and put my id and my sons id and see what happens, but this was maybe 1 or 2 years ago. i asumed most people would of known .
by the way can i join your group as its private to enter you know i think its called the round or something like that.
well I eagerly await you letting me know of this matching site joe, as it would be a huge help to sellers (but only distributed via Private Message though to avoid abuse of the site, I promise)

you can always request to join any private closed eBay group and have your request considered by the admins or members of that group. In the closed groups I am in someone usually starts a thread titled "Member request from (eBay ID here)" and members of the group then post reasons why to accept or decline. When a concensus is reached the member is notified.

I've several others very similar.
Very frustrating.
This is exactly what we are going through as well. And as well as no apology & no explanation, they don't even follow up with us when they say they will. Thanks for the printout as well, it definitely feels better to know that we are not the only ones who have eParcel tracking pages that look like that!
It is really a worry that AP can keep getting is SO wrong!

If you dropping your parcels at Australia Post shop try to change the shop to another one. It looks like something weird is going on in your APO. I have been using eParcel for about two years and posted about 2500 parcels with them. Not a single one has been lost and tracking is availble once they are dropped and scanned by my post office.

We have been using eParcel for a few years now and our parcels get picked up every day by AP and they are scanned immediately they are picked up. From pick up they are taken straight to the local distribution center for processing.
We we haven't had any problems until the last few months but since then the tracking reports for the problem parcels have numerous scanning events on them. One of the most recent ones had 16 entries on the tracking report!
if you aren't having any problems at all, I think you may be one of the lucky few.

The irony of the whole debacle is that the items are scanned in and they are being tracked, yet AP are still losing them and/or taking weeks to deliver them.
To add injury to insult, it seems to be that AP don't know where a parcel is being sent once it is scanned at a location after an "enquiry" is made.
Hence their response " we do not know where your parcel currently is".
