Australia post tracking

I am in Melbourne, Sunshine West is in Melbourne, so what is my parcel doing in Strathfield NSW after it was processed in Sunshine 😞

Most likely missorted by AusPost. You can leave it for another week to see if status changed or contact them

Strathfield MC is the 'Big Black Hole' for Australia Post. If your item needs to travel through there, it may as well be Mars ! When sending to western NSW, our items go around and around in circles for days before they get spat out on the other side of The Great Dividing Range...

Australia Post will be using front end loaders and dump trucks soon to move the enormous mountains of parcels.

Ummm, no, the 2 worst offenders are Chullora and Sunshine West. It's nothing for parcels to ping pong between them for weeks before getting delivered. As a whole, Strathfield is pretty good most of the time, especially compared to Chullora.

Posted 2 parcels to Victoria recently. Posted on the same day. One went via Strathfield and was delivered quickly. The other is still allegedly at Chullora (according to the last tracking update last Sunday).

Re: Australia post tracking

Maybe the Australia Post contractor wanted to buy a car radio, and didn't trust Australia Post delivering it!

Re: Australia post tracking

Go onto Aust Post website and read some of the information there. Quite comprehensive and constantly being updated. They are dealing with the restrictions due to the Virus in many different ways and guessing all of their solutions will impact us all in someway. Either in the posting or the receiving of our mail.

Re: Australia post tracking

That's nothing compared to my parcel from UK that went to Germany, USA, Honolulu then came to Australia. The good part was it only took a week to arrive. The mail is crazy everywhere at the moment, this is as good as it gets at the moment.

Yeah, I also heard that the Melbourne Sorting Centres are on limited staff and can't sort the mail, so a lot of it is sent interstate for them to deal with it.

That's my best guess, that they're redirecting bulk lots of mail to be sorted elsewhere

No guess required.

AP have stated that to be the case.

Re: Australia post tracking

best one I have had so far is a package through the same processing plant 6 times now.   Can not believe it been scanned 6 times in the same location.
