Buyer buys four items and says that one item was broken. He was repeatedly offered a FULL refund by returning the one only item but he does not correspond nor return the item but instead, he leaves FOUR Neg's. What's the stance for the seller ?
on 22-01-2013 06:15 PM
i know its correct that is why i put it up for bump.
I still ask though if the member in question is going to close their account why bother going through the defamation case. Its just a waste of time.
Stop selling, close account, no more neg to deal with

But chuk, I've said it before in that my principles have never been hidden in my entire life and I stand by the fact that I will NOT relent for such a situation from a buyer that has that nature built into him. As said, the 4 NEG's are not warrantable and my principle of the difference between the truth and lies stands firm . OK maybe after very careful and extensive thinking, I might abandon the issue and close the "shop" but at this moment, I just can't do that. it was and is my reputation which is nothing but misery via Ebay but beyond, that's far from the case when I have been dealing with the public for 40 odd years. it speaks for itself in repeat and referred business. I just can't get this Ebat drama out of my mind as it sure conflicts in this REAL Peter

Does that mean domsa is showing his true colours colic ?

unfortunately your reputation may also be damaged with your replies to the negs.
Most buyers tend to look at the replies to see how professional a seller is. So the damage is already done,
Also I must state, should your ISP get flagged, you would be in a whole world of trouble as you stated yourself, the original seller is unable to post, and you using another ID to post with is against policy. You may find your selling ability restricted should the mods catch on

Then with all due respect Peter, you'd be best off self reporting your thread for the reason that Dave has given re breaching board policy.
Whilst you may not like it or agree with it,thems the rules.
To self report-go up to right of your 1st post, click on Report Abuse, scroll down & choose Remove my post-not recommended (ignore the not recommended),click that, confirm & its done.
Peter,I have just seen that have asked in Answer Centre, how to remove this thread. You must have missed the instructions I gave you 2 days ago so here they are again above & in bold.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I can't wait for it to disappear.......

I have been following this topic from the beginning now.
All i have to say is this...
Peter: You are correct in your query, that is, 4wks after purchase is too long to make a claim for a refund of purchase. If it was me, I most defiantely would not be giving any form of refund.
tow truck sale date 03 Dec, 2012 (Monday)
Seller is in Western Australia buyer is in Victoria (So add some delivery time)
at least 4 emails between seller and buyer demanding refunds and photos or the item.
"I am very disappointed regarding this issued particularly being weeks later but nevertheless, If you return the item without prejudice, I will refund you in full INCLUDING your postage costs"
seller admits that "as I didn't get a response from you regarding of the returning of the item plus the fact that I have only just returned home after being away for ten days "
29-Dec-2012 FIRST TWO NEG DATES
6-1-2013 LAST TWO NEG DATES
So how long was it really after the sale that the buyer contacted Peter regarding a refund because I am having a little trouble adding anything up to make 1 month before a refund was asked for given that negs were left 26 days after the sale date???

Peter I don't really understand why you feel the need to artificially enhance your feedback because most of your feedback is great.
It appears that it is only when you encounter a problem with a transaction that you more than not blow a fuse.
I understand that you do not have any of these problems with your face to face businesses.
I think part of the problem is that you are trying to pick up inflection in email messages as you do when you converse with a face to face customer.
It is nigh on impossible to do because the words are typed rather than delivered orally and there are no accompanying body gestures.
So what could be a message from a buyer with an iphone that cannot type to save their life like "the truck is broken I want a refund" may sound like an extremely surly request to a seller when it may be actually the best communication they can manage on their phone.
If you interpret a message as aggressive and answer in kind that is what starts the merry go round.
I understand that you may have bounced some aggresive buyers from your bricks and mortar business because of their attitude or actions (probably rightly so) and it appears you sometimes try to employ the same tactic while selling on ebay.
The problem is when you bounce the bricks and mortar wallies is that only the 3 regular customers in the back row, the storekeeper next door and the dog asleep on the sidewalk have witnessed the incident... and then it is finished, finito gone forgotten
however
employing the same tactics when your feedback ramains forever means that thousand of prospective customers can read ( and only read) your remonstrations.
They have no idea of the original situation and only see a rant.
If you saw rants in a sellers feedback like yours would you buy off them.
I think that you can make a go of business online if you could just modify your actions a little and stick to the rules.
Anyways good luck in the future and I apologize if my piste taking offended it was only intended as a wake up call

To colic. I appreciate your last comments indeedy so ! THANKS
TO ALL :- It has been a learning curve for me to say the least but with regret, I feel that I must emphasise the following;
My assumption was that this board was to be " an affable, enjoyable site where one would consider to be able help and gide each other and the like" This is not what has happened at all and by and large, as soon as a new post arises, that poor person is instantly down trodden, treated like a child, abused, chastised and above all, sarcasm is bountiful to say the least. Such a situation was the "new" ebayer yesterday. Whilst there was no dispute as to 'breakiing many rules', it's not unreasonable to say that by the time she had read 1/2 dozen replies. she was probably a screaming mess.
It's VERY SIMPLE. To help others is to talk calmly and collectively etc and NOT to jump instantly other peoples backs. Sensible communication with tact is the way to go about things and not otherwise
By and large, the very regular posters need to take a few steps back regarding their ownselves
Finally however, in such as my issue, In contrast, there were some other posters that 'attended' to my issue and beyond any doubt.....they are NOT in the above bracket AT ALL. They were fine people to say the least and to them, I indeed thankyou
