COVID-19 and shipping delays ...negative feedback?

Got two inquiries today from buyers overseas wondering where are the items I sold them 6 weeks ago.

I tracked the numbers on AustPost and both items are still sitting in Sydney!

Obviously we're in the midst of a pandemic and this is affecting everyone. I'm concerned about getting neg feedback, however.

Anyone know if eBay is being 'understanding' about shipping delays at this time?

They 'say' they are, but what the say and what is real is usally very different

Just as most buyers are well aware of the delays, and among those are buyers who take full underhanded advantage

There are quite a few posts on here from people who have bought items and demand to know why they have not instantly arrived

There's a new announcement in eBay announcements that says they have extended the maximum delivery estimate on international postage services:

2 days for courier service

10 for express services and 

15 days for standard services

but it's nowhere near the reality of the situation

It certainly isn't. Considering that I've got two packages that have been 'awaiting international departure' for 6 weeks and counting.

Surely those are just the normal delivery times??

On the other hand I sold a small item to US this week and the order now says

Estimated delivery Monday 1 Jun 2020 - Monday 6 Jul 2020

But is that the total time they're allowing or the additional time they're extending it by?
