COVID-19 and shipping delays ...negative feedback?

Got two inquiries today from buyers overseas wondering where are the items I sold them 6 weeks ago.

 

I tracked the numbers on AustPost and both items are still sitting in Sydney!

 

Obviously we're in the midst of a pandemic and this is affecting everyone. I'm concerned about getting neg feedback, however.

 

Anyone know if eBay is being 'understanding' about shipping delays at this time?

If that's what they're extending it by, it would be nice to know what they're extending it from.

3 byers  had to be refunded in the past 4 days 

aussie post are realy letting us down 

8 refunds given in the past 2 weeks because of non delivery of items 

average wait time is 3 weeks for delivery from perth to interstate 

buyers should never have to wait this long

The domestic delays are a bit much! The international delays are a nightmare, of course.

Whatever pointless timeframe Aus. Post provides them with, if any.

Honestly I don't get why people expect eBay to be all over this - if the shipping and post companies can't give reliable time-frame estimates, there's no point expecting eBay to.

They're obviously both at fault and should not be making empty promises that other people are expected to have to live up to or pay for.

AP have a 25-35 business day delivery timeframe for the US on their website

Yeah, and up to 60 business days to Europe. I just had a German buyer say he's giving me until mid-June for his package to arrive (I sent it 7 weeks ago).

 

I told him I have no control over the COVID-19 pandemic. Who knew?
