Can someone update me on the latest about Click & Send please. I didn't offer it but my nbuyer seems to think that it means I pay the postage and she does not! Doesn't seem very fair How does one opt out of it? M

Buyers often mistake this. It is NOT free postage.
The buyer pays postage as per normal and the only difference is you send it to the store of their choice rather than to the buyer.
Click n collect is designed to make it easy for those without a postal address or don't want parcels dropped at home.
If the buyer doesn't believe you, direct them to here.

Offer Click n Collect at your own peril.
Just another link in the delivery process, which only serves to lengthen the delivery time and you are dependent on the goodwill of the BigW store to handle the transaction properly - a lot don't!!

Once upon a time, Click & Collect could only be implemented on listings that provided "free postage", so every listing that offered it didn't have any additional amounts for postage.
Then eBay changed the requirements, but not the information or signage, so they still advertise it as "Free Click & Collect", which comes across as a free alternative to paying for postage when it most definitely is not.
Now, 'Free Click & Collect' more specifically means the service won't cost any more above the seller's list price + postage (where applicable), I guess as an alternative to paying for a PO box? but eBay make it as clear as mud, and most of the marketing pre-requirement change would have meant many people now automatically assume it continues as a 100% free delivery option.
They really should just ditch the word 'Free' on any listings that offer C&C but don't list with free postage.

It hasn't said 'Free' Click & Collect for a long time. Unless, like you say, it's with sellers that offer free postage.
Replaced it with 'New Click & Collect'

So it does - score one for eBay (and minus one for my observation skills
).

as pdme_dolls said, use it at your own peril - i used to offer it - fell for the line that it's "better to offer more options for the buyer." click & collect is not a better option. i've had nothing but trouble with it.

I stopped (online) shopping with Woolworths after they couldn't even find their own stock (i.e. missing items from my orders). If they'd been able to sort it professionally, I may have been a bit more forgiving, but each time there was something missing from my order, I never received a response after filling out their complaint form online.
I did get a response if I posted on Facebook, which, ok, yay for having access to resolution at least, but not one of the respondents to my posts understood why the lack of response to their website's complaint form was a serious issue.
Which I mention because if I can't even trust them with 500g of cherries and smoked chicken, I sure as heck am not trusting them with any aspect of my business.
