Hope somebody can give me a quick answer.
Buyer paid by bank deposit, sent item via click and send, buyer claims not received even though tracking says delivered.
I can chase it up with austpost, but if no joy am I still protected by sending by click and send even though buyer did not use paypal to purchase item?
Or do I not have a leg to stand on?

yes, it is ridiculous
and without those sellers leaving truthful feedback for non-payers, no-one would be the wiser
Seller shouldnt have to be "none the wiser" if sellers followed procedure and ebay themselves were more strict about overturning strikes.
As for those scam buyers starting new accounts, there are blocks in place to stop that carry on initially but once again its up to the sellers to do the right thing, not only to protect themselves from these idiots but for others.

you don't seem to read other peoples posts??
I follow ebay feedback policy.
I leave feedback for all my buyers whether they pay or not.
I also issue strikes for all non-payers.
So what procedure is it that I haven't I followed ??

What feedback do you, can you leave for a buyer if they don't pay?

I try to leave an honest balanced comment that is true to values of the feedback system, whilst staying within current policy parameters.
I am mindful that comments are not not sufficiently negative to warrant removal. I always try to find a positive in a non-payment situation, such as great bidding prowess as well as identifying areas that would make the transaction even better still, such as payment or contact, 🙂

Actually I have read all your posts
From what I can gather you leave polite false positives.
But each to their own.

Mmm, each to their own.
What procedure haven't I followed, or the other sellers,
You have called sellers that leave feedback for non-payers, all numptys and I would like to know how it effects you, in fact as per your OP it has actually helped you identify a potential problem ??

I really am trying to understand your perspective. ?:|?:|
What difference does it make to any seller, or even just for you queen, if a buyer has say 3 feedback, or 47 feedback or 872 feedback, or whatever number, and some of the comments indicate that buyer doesn't pay or is a scammer??

Now thats just a silly question... of course it effects me and all sellers when a buyers feedback is further boosted by false positives.
Yes false positives have alerted me to a potential problem, BUT I still have to go through the same correct procedures as per ebay policies and procedures however flawed it may be at the moment...you know after the horse has bolted type situation.
It seems you have not read all my posts, I have outlayed my reasons for calling some sellers numpty.

I havent read the policies for a while, but I believe the actual policy is something along the lines of "you cant leave negative comments on positive feedback" As catspj's is pointing out, you its possible to mention that the buyer didnt pay without actually putting a negative spin on it. It would therefore not be against policy so I dont really see why other sellers have a problem with this, its actually tripped up many a scammer.

With a 3 or less feedback thats an automatic block IF the seller follows the right procedures.
If ANY buyer has more than 2 strikes against them...thats an automatic block IF the seller follows the right procedures.
See where Im going with this???
