Customer pays for item that is pick up only, and asks to send item with a "I pay for postage"

This happened to me a few times.

Previously I just refunded the money, not interested in BS.

This time I suggested to arrange their own currier since the thing is too big for postage. So he asks for address. I supplied postcode and now there is no further contact.

What do you think?

Weeell ... it's not that hard.

There are two issues here, for me anyway, may be more for you 😉

One issue: Cancel versus Refund. The way to do it in this case was cancel. not refund. Done that and problem solved. The original advice to refund was .... misleading me.

Second issue.  Payment. When item is sold and paid for, ebay holds the money until the stuff is either posted or picked up. In my case if was neither yet I got paid less than 24 hours after the customer paid and the skis are still here.

Why?

I have done refunds before and everything went smooth because I had not been paid yet.

If the payment is done, I must cancel so that I am not up for the selling fee.

Hope this is not kungfusing you ... 🙂

I'll just jump in here......reading through the replies....

The refund was your idea.    No fees back on that one.

Every respondent told you to cancel using 'problem with buyers address' to get your fees back (minus 30c)

The problem started with your comprehension it seems
