I sold an item value $3000AUD and they took $430AUD off from me... wow ridiculous. Selling an item costs me over $400. "Listing is free" and then after item sold out, here you go ridiculous hidden fees that you didn't expect. Which plaform in the world would take that much? Greedy.
At least final value fee should be shown on the page when listing item.
No more ebay for me.

Oh god, the suspense is killing me! I've just read the thread from start to finish and need to know what's happening! Did the parcel get redirected back home?

Standard fees on a $20.00 sale is $2.98
How you choose to process your postage is entirely up to you, but
Minimal charge for parcel post is $9.70
So the figures you quote would seem to be BS.
There is always the possibility that you are such a good AP customer that you are entitled to significant discounts, and likewise that your ebay sales metrics mean you incur exceptional penalty fees.
Edit
Also the possibility 5BUX converts to $9.70AU

I actually pictured vinyl tiles - thought they were a bit expensive as I just bought some to redo cupboards - $2.55 each - Bunnings.
Free pick up. LOLOL

Your 'post office' is most certainly telling you porkies
I am sure one of your buyers would be delighted to get a smashed record and underpaid postage notice though
Not sure how you can expect anyone here to actually believe you can really send a record in the appropriate packaging and actual real postage cost for '5 bucks' in 2023
As for the fees, no idea why yours are so much higher than the normal fee
Good story though

I had a moment... while I wondered for what sort of currency BUX stood.
In this world of global purchasing and international currency, it could have been something along those lines...
on 10-03-2023 04:30 PM
I've never heard of 'BUX' is that way before (certainly not in a currency the post office here would use)
Only 'bucks' I know is dollars and the noise a chicken makes

OP quotes $20 sales, but I don't see any for $20....so how do they quote incorrect postage and fees?
