Do you think Ebay will ever restore the feedback system to how it use to be 'FAIR'. ?
Sellers not be allowed to leave a negative feedback for a buyer is as every seller know's completely unfair.
Both buyers and sellers should have the same rights, to leave feedback on their transaction. If a seller has had a bad experience with a non- paying buyer or one of 1000 others reason's why can't this be reflected on the buyers feedback?
If I could see that a buyer has many neg's I would block them from my store.
Shouldn't a seller have that option?

digitalghost - It is there for the seller (not for the buyer) to tell other eBay members about the experience the seller had with that buyer and that transaction.
I totally agree dg, but the buyer can not recieve anything but positive, and I reiterate, if there is a problem after 'sale' why does the seller feel the need to 'advise other sellers'. If as a seller you have done the right thing, why would a problem arise? If a seller is 100% comitted to customer service - they will fix any problem within thier ability - if it comes down to an unreasonable buyer and goes to dispute - again, if the seller has honestly done nothing wrong, then case closed, surely, at least that has been my experience so far

I don't actually disagree with you, there are a lot of reasons I leave FB upon payment and they are some of them, but sellers have a choice (however limited it may be), one of which is to leave no feedback. If a problem arises, I deal with it with feedback (mine and the buyer's) completely removed from the equation as it's just the way I prefer to operate.
The main point I try to make in these threads (even if it appears otherwise), is that everyone has a choice about when they leave FB, and I personally don't think it's right or fair to dictate or expect when others leave it just because they've decided it 'should' be left at a certain point in the transaction.

I used to leave feedback on receipt of payment but tend to leave it after a few days now. If they haven't given feedback but probably do have the item, I'll leave feedback as sort of a reminder... they might have forgotten/chosen not to leave it but if they notice I did, it might spur them on to say "thanks" or whatever their feedback might be. The reason for the wait is incase they give an unjustified neg, I haven't jumped the gun.

I had a perfect 100% positive feedback score till a buyer, who's parcel I accidentally sent to wrong address (I sent it to 15 and it should of been 5) started sending me abusive messages. I retaliated to her nastiness (My bad!) and she left me negative feedback because of it. Her feedback has nothing to do with the item in question, postage or communication, she just decided that she would get me back for the comments I made in a message, and she actually told me she was going to do it too. Have sent message to Ebay informing them of inappropriate negative feedback, and they have just brushed me off! Told me to contact buyer and try to work it out with them....yeah right! Like I want to have more contact with this abusive member. So disappointed in Ebay right now ๐
