Be nice if people read their notices from eBay.
Dave, I think you rather miss the point here.
Yes, ebay did indeed give everyone quite a bit of advanced notice that TL was nearing its end of life.
Unfortunately (and I think this is what really irks people), at the same time they said they would be providing a similarly featured alternative via their much hyped seller hub.
That was not forthcoming and TL has now been bagged with no warning while sellers awaited its replacement.
So people were still waiting for the great new promised thing and entitled to think that eBay would honour its commitment BEFORE they retired TL permanently.
The alternatives eBay offer are nowhere near being a viable replacement for TL.
If people didn't explore alternatives in the 20 months they were given, what makes you think they'd do it if they were given another warning in the last fortnight?
Ebay retired it exactly when they said they would so nobody can complain about the dates. If they'd done it at some other time they'd be accused of being unreliable in their announcements so it seems they can't win.
In the original announcement that's in the link someone provided, ebay said absolutely nothing about providing a better alternative/replacement to TL. What they actually said was to explore alternatives before it's expired, and they also said that Seller Hub includes SOME of the features that TL had - nothing that I can see about providing anything else apart from what's in seller hub.
The following quote from that announcement actually indicates that Seller Hub doesn't include all the features that TL had, only some of them, so why anyone would sit and wait for them to bring out a new, super-duper, whiz-bang replacement is beyond me. Perhaps I just don't have the ability to read things that aren't there into their statements, as so many others seem to be able to do.
Seller Hub already includes a number of features previously supported by Turbo Lister.

I add 6 photos, postage & payment policies, store category, material (for clothing) colour, size, condition description, occassion, season, MPN (where applicable), combined shipping discount and all the usual business policies so I don't need enter anything in manually, plus a short description with a hyperlink in it.
Is that doable from your experience?
I could certainly set up a listing from scratch in 5 minutes. But I wouldn't do it flat out 40 hours a week.
Beware hyperlinks - I'm fairly sure even innocuous ones are banned these days.
And none of this has ANYTHING to do with Turbolister.

May be beyond you, but my reason is because at various times over the last 18 months eBay have stated that Seller Hub would have similiar functionality to Turbo Lister before TL was ended.

Re: Community Chat, Aug 2nd @ 1pm PT - General Topics
Howdy @papermoneyforme - Seller Hub is not primarily a listing tool - it is a tool designed to give you deep dive information associated with your listing categories, a tool to manage and fulfill your orders and do market research and get other suggestions on how to grow your business. Because of its tailored nature, it is account and site specific.
While we've been told that all the features of Turbo Lister will be eventually integrated into Seller Hub, we don't have a time line on when.
If you are looking for a listing tool that can be a one-stop shop for multiple accounts across multiple sites you could consider a tool like File Exchange."
Then at a later session it was stated that Turbo Lister would remain until Seller Hub had the same functionality.

At one stage I have over 4500 items listed through turbo lister 2, however it had crashed a few times over the 10 years that I used it. There was no limit on how many items to list, however the data storage size got quite big and slow. It had a few 'bugs' but the good points far outwayed the bad

Hyerlinks are can be used in listings provided they meet the eBay links policy
https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/listing-policies/links-policy?id=4248
Basically only links within eBay and they are secure ie HTTPS://
There are a few exceptions but read the policy.
