Why is this? I spoke to a ebay rep and they just said that they aren't apart of marketing and I will just have to wait.
Are you lads getting offers?

You have 9 items listed and you get 40 free a month. Why don't you use the full 40? It would get some of them out of unsold. Plus, you've sold 57 items in the last 60 days. That's way more than a lot of others are doing.
You are violating eBay policy by discouraging people to not use PayPal. You can get sanctioned for that and even lose your selling privileges. It also looks silly by mentioning the fees. Buyers don't care about fees you have to pay. It's also not a good idea to mention that they are included in the price. Big turn off for a lot of people.

@sandyson43-7 wrote:well you must be selling things that are very popular. Cause all the people i know that sell on here the sales are very slow. Sorry put i find it rude you dont think i put in the effort. Of course i do. So what do you sell?
My comment of " you get out of ebay what you put in, Little effort, few sales, lots of effort plenty of sales " was meant as a generalisation and not aimed at anyone in particular. But just to give a couple more examples of what I meant. On the stock supply side, if I am going to a market or swap meet, I usually get out of bed by 5.00 am and are there perusing the stall holders as they unpack at 6.00 am. I usually have all of my money spent and the car full of all of the best, rarest items by 8.30 am. and are driving out the gate as the " normal " shoppers are just starting to arrive.
Many people source stock from Op shops and charity shops. These places get some interesting stuff through the donation bins, but often it doesn't ever make its way to the shop floor where the regular buyers shop. I have an arrangement with the largest charity book shop near me where they put the best items aside for me and phone when they have a box full. I go through the items and pay them quite a bit more than if they just went through the store. Sometimes I end up paying a bit for stuff that I don't really want, but that is the price I pay for getting first pick of the best items and I end up way in front over the long haul. They also pass my phone number onto others who are dispersing valuable book collections that are too good to just donate.
I know several other people who deal in different areas to me that have similar arrangements with local op shops. One gets first look at all of the gold and antique jewellery and another specialises in antique watches. Thats why it is often so hard to find really good, valuable items sitting on the shelf in many op shops. They just never make it that far.
All of this takes time and effort, but it is the effort very few ebay sellers are willing to put in.

I was hoping for the "Sell your unwanted Xmas gifts" special offer with the 200 free listings they always seemed to do after Xmas, but this time was different.

You have to wonder what ebays plans are. The freebies don't just happen because ebay is feeling generous or need the extra listings. They would be part of an overall strategy and business direction.
I have thought for a long time that ebay wanted to move the business to new items from larger established, brand names and stores. More like Amazon. If you read their announcements to the stock exchange ( their only real public statements about business direction ) it is clear this is the focus of management.
Individual private sellers, clearing used junk from around the house or from OP shops does not really fit that brand image. What the small private sellers DO provide is a ready market base of ebay customers for larger sellers.
I suspect ebay is trying to wean the small private sellers off of the ebay selling teat with a view to eventually moving all sellers to store subscriptions. They certainly haven't been encouraging the private, non store sellers for quite some time. There is a reason for this, its just that ebay are not announcing it publicly.

Haven't had any selling freebies (not counting the 40 per month) in literally years. Every seller promo that does show up on the forums is invitation-only and only seems to apply to the same group of sellers every single time.
If you've got a lot of similar stuff to move (e.g. Pokรฉmon cards) I would just do multiple quantity listings as GTC. For example, you can list say 20 different cards with just the one card of each and it will take up just one listing instead of 20 (the monthly relisting only counts as one item as well).
What relistings? they're gone as well

The free relistings may be gone but heihachi said the monthly relistings only count as one item (in the example they quoted) - no mention of them being free.

Still none, nada, zilch. Was hoping, but, oh well. Looks like I'll get a few things done around the house instead.
