I recently sold a cloak worth $150 plus post of $15. I used one of the $12 ebay satchels so was expecting $153 into my account. I only received $130.57 so what happened to my $22.43???
Also, what the devil has happened to 'Contact us'??
I hope someone can at least help regarding the additional mystery fees I'd appreciate it. I am seriously thinking of shutting my shop as this site is just too hard to navigate now.

Hi Whiz, If you do not know what fees you will be paying before listing, then you should not be selling

not worth selling on eBay so the companys make the profits from your selling..
itโs ok to buy on eBay.. but to sell you are being ripped off by the company over their price fees.
Question to eBay..what is the point in selling with your company.. NOT RIGHT
I feel like this is a self-contained, question, answer, and ultimate enigma wrapped in a.... not so much paradox, but certainly an intriguing contradiction.
By which I mean the sellers you buy from on ebay are suffering the same kind of "rip-off" in fees that you feel you did, which would never happen if you didn't buy on ebay at all. Either that, or the seller is building the fees into their pricing, in which case as the buyer, you're still paying them.
Based on seeing the "loss", I wonder if ebay should experiment with a different format, where no one is forced to think about the costs of selling unless they go over their fees willingly, lol, so you enter the price the customer is charged into the listing, but the price displayed to the seller is what they'll get after all fees. (eg Auction hits $250, but seller only sees it hit ~$217 ) ๐ค ๐
TL;DR Ignorance is bliss, lol

There's certainly a lot of bliss around these parts.

As much as most people hate paying fees, myself included, I still make a truckload of money on ebay, and gladly pay the fees for the exposure my items get. Buy item for 90c, sell it for $90, even with the fees, I'm still waaaaaaayyyyyyy out in front. I don't know why you thought you wouldn't have to pay fees for selling on the site. Do you think ebay shouldn't make any money for their business? Would you work for free? I thought so.

Making money is par for the course when in business but gouging small businesses like mine is pretty **bleep**ty in my view. I don't make many sales here so hadn't realised it had gone up SO much so will be closing my store end of the month.

Not making many sales I hadn't realised it had gone up so high in a fairly short space of time. Not happy and will be closing my store shortly.

I actually do have a store but not for much longer. I don't make many sales so hadn't realised the fees had gone up so high. It's actually over 15% for sales under $4000 and back down to a bit over 2% for sales over $4000. Do you think that's fair as I certainly do not. Gouging the little stores is pretty **bleep**ty so will not have my store here for much longer as it's not worth the effort.

Agree. I will not be keeping my store open after the end of this month. My items average $100 so paying over 15% plus the Paypal fee is gouging in my view. If my items were worth $4000 it's just over 2%. How fair is that??? The fee structure used to be much better when I started here about 20 years ago. The site is too complex now anyway so really can't be bothered.

I don't sell many things here and hadn't realised it had gone up so much. Sticking with madeit.com.au from now on

Tried that and finally got an answer and am pretty disgusted with the over 15% fees for small businesses like mine and the low 2% fee for sale items over $4000.
