I recently sold a cloak worth $150 plus post of $15. I used one of the $12 ebay satchels so was expecting $153 into my account. I only received $130.57 so what happened to my $22.43???
Also, what the devil has happened to 'Contact us'??
I hope someone can at least help regarding the additional mystery fees I'd appreciate it. I am seriously thinking of shutting my shop as this site is just too hard to navigate now.

After going round in circles I finally got hold of a live chat and the fees are over 15% for sale items under $4000 and just over 2% for sale items over $4000. Not many sales so hadn't realised how high it was. I don't think gouging little businesses is very fair. Not using Market place or Gumtree for the reasons you stated so sticking with my store on madeit.com.au and closing this one

Not sure where you are getting your 15% figure from, but anyhow don't slam the door on the way out.

I am not saying they shouldn't charge fees. When I finally got hold of someone on live chat, the fees are now over 15% for sales under $4000 and only 2% for sales over $4000. Gouging the small business owner is just as bad as gouging your customers. I hand make all of the garments I sell.

I was puzzled when I read your question but had looked at your feedback as you obviously have a fair bit of experience selling, so you would be well aware of fees etc
However, I think I see your problem now. It is that you feel the fees have gone up a lot, to what you were expecting.
I didn't realise fees were so low for those selling really big ticket items. I don't know why that would be. I would have expected it to be a bit more too.
But your only worry needs to be the fees you personally face.
I think you have a couple of choices. If you continue to sell on ebay (which has a wide audience and what I would call blessedly contactless & message free selling, compared to eg marketplace), then you'd need to take the higher fees into account and raise the price of your items. If they are hand made garments, you're entitled to a decent price, people will often pay more for items that are unique or different and you have the advantage that you haven't got dozens of Chinese sellers competing with the same items at give away prices. So.. raising the price a little to cover fees could work.
If you are not selling in vast quantities you might even be able to drop the shop and just use the free listings available to casual sellers. The fees might be slightly higher but you'd perhaps save overall by not paying shop fees. You could look into it in any case.
Otherwise if your own website is getting a lot of custom, that could be enough.

Your interpretation is incorrect, or the CS rep has not explained it to you correctly.
For sales over $4000 the full FVF % applies up to $4000 and then 2.5% for the portion of sale exceeding $4000.
IE: $5000 Sale. = $4000 Full FVF applies + $1000 @ 2.5%
FVF's FOR STORES ON MANAGED PAYMENTS
Final value fees (excl. GST) | Basic Store | Featured Store | Anchor Store
Fixed order fee Applies to all transactions, in addition to fees below | $0.30 per order
Category percentage fee Applies according to listing category and Store package | % of the total amount paid by the buyer up to $4,000 (including postage and handling), calculated per item

Tier 2 categories All items excluding Tier 1, Tier 3, Tier 4, NFTs and Services | 10.4% | 9.4% | 8.8%
Tier 3 categories* Items in Vehicle Parts & Accessories categories | 11.3% | 10.2% | 9.6%
Tier 4 categories* Items in Technology accessories, Fashion, Sporting Goods, Collectables and Media categories | 11.9% | 10.7% | 10.1%

I think your items are under-priced, TBH.
Also, I saw that in your cloak listing, you are offering regular post to the USA - which is going to cause you untold grief if you don't send with tracking. I sell overseas and buyers always pay postage, especially as the US currency is stronger than ours, so when a US buyer sees the converted rate, it does not seem expensive to them.
The customer service rep has not advised you correctly about the fees, which is not unusual as they are mostly useless in helping sellers.

A good business person, checks out the fee's first and incorporates them into their pricing, don't start selling and then complain the fee's are to high .
Plus your assertion that over 4000 is a lower fee is just wrong, you pay the base fee like the rest of us up to 4000, then 2.5% on top of that above 4000. So high end sellers don't really get a great deal if you work out how much fee's they have already paid on the first 4000.
The fee's are available on the website take a look.
And yes I note you mention another site, but that is like comparing your local strip shopping centre to a Westfield. The strip shopping centre has 100 people a day, westfield has 100,000 a day, so the reach and potential sales are much higher.

You could try popping a table outside your gaff everyday for a year and see how many sales you get. Then, compare that to the fees of a selling platform with a global audience.
