How do fees work?

Hi

I want to sell a few things pick up only cash payment on collection. Do I give ebay my account details and they deduct the fees when I mark an item as sold? What if the buyer never shows for the item? Will ebay refund me the fees they took for the sale?

Thanks for any help

Re: How do fees work?

The fees for pick up items are deducted when the sale is made - BEFORE the seller receives payment.

Just to add I have asked Ebay these questions and none of the chat bots can answer it which blows my mind a bit!

Of course they do - provided the correct procedure is followed.

Re: How do fees work?

Actually - not sure you can stipulate - cash only.

Buyers are usually given the choice of paying through eBay - or cash on pick up.

Re: How do fees work?

Just to be clear... when a pickup item sells, the related fees are debited from your payment balance which is yet to be paid out.

If there are insufficient available funds to cover those fees, eBay will debit the bank account which you nominated for payment of seller fees.
