OK, Have well over 100 transactions, well over required ammount,100% positive feedback and extremely good ratings(4.9+ all through) but under 100 feedback due to lazy/incosiderate buyers.
Do I qualify or not?
Am I just jumping the gun and will be granted power seller status once reviewed later this month?
Concerned because it just gives my projection as being "above standard"
when obviously I should be above this...

Power Seller = 100 transactions totalling US$1000 or more, and will usually come into effect on the next evaluation period after qualifying.
If you check your seller dashboard and everything for Power Seller is ticked, then the status should change. The projected seller rating would be based on your current status as a non-Power Seller, and from memory they are not assessed at the same time (i.e. you may find that you will be made PS, but still have to wait a while for the seller rating to change).
It won't have anything to do with feedback count, and just as a sidenote, IMHO it's not good for your general disposition to determine all buyers who don't leave FB are lazy / inconsiderate. (eg I recently made several bulk purchases and the seller did everything right, but there are a few flaws with some of the items - for a variety of reasons I have thus far decided I won't leave any feeback, which is actually quite considerate of me, I reckon. )

My understanding is the power seller rankings are assessed once per month. The day would be different for each persons account. It always gives us a few moments of the "warm and fuzzies" when we reach a milestone. I have never found any real benefit from the powerseller status with sales. The only benefit is that it gives you access to the powersellers discussion forum. This isnt much different to the main boards with most of the same topics discussed ( and many of the same faces with different names too. ) . There are a few very large sellers who are regular posters on the powersellers boards. At times this can give a slightly different perspective on things. Occasionally the powersellers discuss some more advanced ideas, but other than this its really just more of the same. All this aside, congratulations on your new powerseller status.

My last projection was Above Standard, yet a few days later, I noticed I had converted to Power Seller. I must've been close the $1,000 mark because that week I'd only had a $5 sale.

To qualify for the PowerSeller program, sellers need to consistently sell a significant volume of items, provide a high level of service to their buyers, maintain a positive Feedback score, and meet the requirements for detailed seller ratings. Membership in the program is free.
You don't need to apply for the PowerSeller program. If you qualify, you'll automatically be included. Just check your Seller Dashboard to see if you've achieved PowerSeller status. PowerSeller levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Titanium depending on the number of items you've sold or the dollar amount of your sales.
If you're not a PowerSeller yet, you can always work your way up by meeting these requirements:

I have never sold any more, or less, on my power seller id (not including my store id) so the only differnce I hav3 ever found is that I can access the powr seller board. That I very rarely do as it is usually just sellers moaning about ebay lol.

Glad you said that and not me. Some of the Powersellers can be a little bit precious about their forum. Although I have occasionally posted on the PS forum with another ID, I must admit I much prefer it here on the open boards where everyone is welcome.

I can't even find the power sellers forum, I found it via a link on the regular sellers forum. If I close the page down, I can't find anywhere on the list of forums any mention of power sellers to get back in.

The PS boards are included with all of the other forums about half way down the list under Motors I think from memory. But you need to use a power seller ID before it is available to view. It does not show up for me from this ID as this ID doesnt sell anything and is not registered as a power seller. I have to use one of my selling ID's to access it.

Ditto.
I can't see it on this account, but I can on my PS account.
OP - the key from what curraone posted - is that you need 100 feedback. Given you think buyers are lazy for not leaving it (even though you might not like it if they did), you probably need to be patient.
Once you achieve PS, have a look for a feedback thread (there's at least one recent one), where most of us report getting, maybe, 50% feedback from buyers.
