Since the middle of June, my sales have dropped off dramatically. My store had been growing every year and then suddenly crashed. The only thing I did in June was to change my store subscription to a lower level, but then I saw the sales drop off in the first week, so I changed it back up again.
Yesterday, I went to another browser to search for my items and see if it was a visibility issue. The vast majority of my stuff is in the "Home Decor - Decorative Cushions/Pillows" section. Anyway, I could only see about half my items and was getting rather annoyed that many were not showing up as expected.
This morning, I happen to be doing a bulk edit of some stuff and I notice that many of my cushion covers are somehow now listed in the "Home Decor - CHILDRENS HOME AND FURNITURE - Cushions and Covers"!
LIKE, WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK EBAY!
I'm thinking that when I did the store change in June, it has somehow re-catogorised my items.
I am so upset by this, as I have been struggling to work out why my sales have been down by up to 60%!

Thanks - I definitely didn't see that thread.
It seems like the whole category change is a complete stuff up.
Once I saw that mine had been moved to the wrong category, I went to have a look at the overall "Home & Garden - Home Decor - Childrens Home & Furnishings - Cushion Covers" category and WOW, there are over 7,000 listings that seem like the vast majority of those sellers are not even aware that their items are now listed in a childrens decor category.

It appears sellers have to be all over their listings constantly.
If they're not bunging things in another/incorrect category, then they're re-listing things
that were sold months prior, that were a one off.

I agree.
For those of us who rely on this platform to make a living and for what we pay in fees and store subscriptions, nobody should be having to go through this much stress.
My entire Sunday is now utterly lost to having to manually check each and every of my 400+ listing and making sure that not only are they changed back to the right category, but that nothing else has been altered in the listings.
I still cannot comprehend how Ebay could, in any way, shape or form, think that 60% of my every day cushion covers belonged in the childrens section of the Home Decor category.
It's utterly abysmal.

Sorry if this post comes a bit too late to help...
You can see what categories ebay has assigned your listings if you go to your listings in selling manager, and then in the dropdown menu under categories, switch from store categories (the ones you created yourself to appear just in your store), and select eBay categories instead. Then you can narrow it down to edit any that appear in incorrect categories. I know it doesn't help for item specifics, but it's a much faster way of determining if they've meddled with the categories.

Digi - I don't see any option to display categories in my seller hub listings.
It's not under the customisation option either.

Sorry, I should have included a screenshot in my reply.
Hopefully you have it under these options:

Mine will be rolling over on 30 Sep.
End>relist.
I have the listing capacity this month with the freebies, I don't know that I will next month.
