As the title says, buyer has opened an INR for an item that's awaiting collection from their post office. The item has been awaiting collection for just under 4 weeks and only now contacts me. I've updated tracking to the INR request, but as I haven't had an INR case for ages I'm wondering how ebay will deal with it since they updated their seller protection for INR's a few months ago..

If you are a My Post customer, they will hold it for 4 weeks.
Not the seller's fault the buyer can't make it to the PO. I'd be telling them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

Does tracking show it's awaiting collection at the PO?
Have you informed the buyer that's where it is?
You should message them this info through the case.

Ebay's policy was that they would lose the case if they didn't collect the item from the PO, but I can't find the relevant policy atm.

When I click on tracking it shows 'Ready for collection Thu 29 Jun'

Buyer has been messaging telling me I have to arrange redelivery, because he can't get to the PO.
If the buyer doesn't pick it up and it gets returned to you, the buyer will be responsible for the postage to resend it not you. I would be tempted to refund them when it's returned LESS the original postage involved, then block them from buying from you in the future.

I am surprised it still there. AP regulations are to hold for 10 working days, after which it is returned to the seller.

Too slow!

I can't see the buyer winning this one, but stranger things have happened recently.

... and consequent fees.
A partial refund doesn't include flag fall or the fees on the non-refunded amount.
