Just had a look at your listings and they're very high prices. If you're confident that they are worth that much, keep them as a Buy It Now but maybe put a few of them as auctions at lower prices. Sometimes if people get in a bidding frenzy at auction, they'll be more inclined to snap up one of your Buy Now listings.

Thanks for your replies, I believe my items are worth that much!! I know with some items ive considered dropping the price & have left a few weeks & they sell.

My motto is if someone wants something enough they will buy, especially if it is an authentic item...

I guess I need to be patient..

I must say my sales for this month are not good, especially the id I list auctions on. As I have always said though the way to survive on ebay is to adapt which is why I have a couple of things I am working on ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Michelle - I think you have some great items listed and I think you are right regarding price, if people want these types of items they will pay the prices you have.

Re your listings - I reckon to encourage a higher level of confidence by those considering purchases from you - IMO your listings may benefit from having at least a little more information - in particular, measurements / size and condition  including any flaws in your items at all, no matter how tiny. If there are no flaws, then say so.

An example only ..... I saw a set of glasses you have listed, I thought I'll have those, but the photos gave me no indication how tall / small / large ??  I think that this particular type does come in a couple of different sizes, so even a ruler in one of the photo shots would help buyers to gauge size.

Whilst many buyers may ask questions to get this information, others like moi, may just move on if this type of information is not included in the listing.

Hope your sales improve and I hope mine do too ๐Ÿ™‚

Looking at your items they seem quite expensive to me.  If you think they are worth than then fine but obviously I have no idea what they are worth. LoL

One other thing is the descriptions.  You need to make then more interesting and put information in them.  I noticed one listing that has four glasses in the pic but the listing title says set of six.  You may need to fix this.

Other than that you may just have to be patient.

hiya, Im amazed how many sets u have of retro cannisters, well done on finding them all.

I am not selling heaps but enuf t o keep the flow going for me. Im not a store, I just like doing what I do.

Also I collect Australian pottery and sell pieces now and then and the Barsony vase holder u have is not signed Barsony. just looks like a number.

Is it a genuine vintage one or a knock off that have been going around for the past 6 months or so with some of the lady lamps ?

Like the OP have said descriptions ect is a must, plus what markings if any are on the particular items u r selling is always helpful.

Cheers & Good Luck.

like you, I price each item according to what I think is the right price is for the item.  If that means that I relist over and over again then that is fine.  I do eBay as a hobby, so I can afford to wait for the right buyer to come along.

Having said that, I listed three items today that I had listed many times last year.  I thought this time of year was the right time to list as they are teaching resources.  Well, blow me down, the three I listed today sold in less than 2 hours.

January is always a little unpredictable. Our experience the last two years has been that it "sawtooths" - up one week and down the next. Last week was a strong week. This continued into February the last few years.

There's the obvious things such as holidays etc but there are nearly always a few other things in January - the last few years we've seen major floods, fires and cyclones for example.

We use January as an opportunity to do a bit of "renovating and refurbishment" of our listings - review layouts, introduce new items, get rid of some items etc. About half way through that right now.
