Hi everyone. I've never used turbolister, but am in a situation where I might need it in the future to save listings.
I know absolutely nothing about it so would really appreciate any information.
Also, and very importantly, is it easy to use?
many thanks.

Once you get your head around it, yes. It's a terrible program from a user interface perspective based on programming from 15 years ago when Windows XP was still big, but it's so useful for storing listings and relisting them, as well as multiple editing.
However, lately it keeps saying a bunch of warnings about changes coming into effect which I don't understand and cannot find anything about (eg. Seller Profiles) so I don't know how much long I'll be able to use it.

Does anyone know of a 'turbolister for dummies'?

I have used TL for years and have had very few problems. The most important advice I can give you is to make sure you are downloading the Australian version, download through the site map and ensure you are still on the Au site before you start the download.
Once you have downloaded TL and created and linked your ebay account(s) you can import your current listings. You can then use one of those as a template if you wish so youwon't have to fill in a lot of the fields again that have the same info in each listing. It will also familiarise you with how things work.

Once you download TL do a check for updates. Install those. Then make sure you check for updates regularly. I do once a day, but I store 120 days of listings pending upload.

Thank you all for your replies. I've read and re-read stawka's links but din't know if I can manage it. However, I guess it will make more sense once I'm working in it.
If I have to end all listings for a few weeks, would I be better off using Selling Manager? I'm basically looking for something that will save me cutting and pating them all to word documents. Is Selling Manager free to non-stores?
All advice will be very welcome and very much appreciated. Thanks.

I used to use turbo lister a while back.
It may have changed but I found it reasonably easy to get my head around it & it got easier for me as I went along.
What I found useful was I didn't have to reinvent the wheel for items that were the same or similar.
I was selling a mix of new & second hand items but it was amazing how often the same or very similar thing would come up.
It saved me a lot of time.
If you're selling new items that are identical, it probably will be a boon for you.
If, like me, you use it for the same or similar items, just remember though to re-read & tweak an ad as needed.

Hi all, time for what most of you think is probably a silly question, so apologies in advance.
We have downloaded turbolister and imported /exported / synced (whichever is correct) all listings from 1 ID.
My question is, if I'm making a new listing to list at some time in the future, but am unsure which Id I'll be using it on, can I just do it any one and then am I able to transfer listings across IDs?
I hope that makes sense. If not, please let me know and I'll try to re-phrase. Many thanks.

Yes you can transfer across ID. What you need to do is export your listings as a CSV File in Turbo Lister Format. To do that in TL go to:
File - Export Selected items
Select Turbo Lister Format (Click Options Check that All is Ticked)
Click Export
Add file name - save
Then In TL goto
File
Change User (to the new ID)
Import Items - From File
Choose the file you just saved and import
If you have familiar Excel you can open your .csv file and make changes before reimporting. Most variables are easy to change except Shipping which is eBay modified form of Base64 encoding, so the easiest thing to do is to change the shipping to what you want before exporting.
