Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

Hello,

Buyer paid for item, I did not use any postal service but delivered it myself.

Buyer sent me a direct message on ebay to state the item was received.

How do I notify eBay, and when will my funds be released?

Re: Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

The message is irrelevant, you have no way of proving delivery, as you can not even get a pickup code from the buyer.

You will just have to wait until the block on funds expires, normally 30 days.

Re: Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

A message is not accepted as proof of delivery by eBay

IF you were signed up to Managed Payments and verified to sell, your funds will be released in 14-30 days (as you agreed to when listing)

Hopefully the buyer does not open an item not received dispute as you have no way to prove you hand delivered the item

Mark the item as ‘sent’ and wait it out.

Has buyer left you feedback?

Re: Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

up to 30 days……it’s in the lap of the gods, unfortunately.

We can all fall into this trap if we sell something expensive, that is unusual for our selling profile.

It’s about money laundering, supposedly.

OK, you’ve sold 1 item @ $400…..that’ll do it!

Hey thanks for the prompt reply.

I guess I'll just have to wait the 30 days!

It will definitely be released then?

It should be , as long as you're registered to sell and signed up for managed payments

Re: Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

Hi, thanks for your response.

I have sold items and received payments from eBay with this account - therefore I must be registered to sell and signed up for managed payments? My payout schedule is set to "daily".

Thanks again.

Re: Item delivered myself - how to release funds?

As you  haven't sold for a long time, eBay will treat you as a new / infrequent  seller so you'll no longer be on daily payouts and  it's a higher priced item.

Have a look at the payments in your seller hub.

The information in this link will explain  the payment / transaction holds

Yes I marked it as sent as soon as I delivered it.

Buyer has now left (positive) feedback - this is a good thing I presume?

You could try contacting eBay via HELP (top of page) alert them to your received feedback, and ask for release of funds.

Good luck!
