But no doubt it’s a comin’ our way! 😣 Just getting a bit pathetic really. A 30 day hold for payments is bad enough for newbies or those who haven’t sold in awhile but now not releasing funds until delivery is confirmed, how carp is that. What I don’t get is that eBay have a seller’s bank account details so if a sale goes belly up, they have the power to deduct from one’s bank account if necessary!
Wait a sec, eBay, why not make it 90 days, because you can!

Yeah, my other account (different email address, same email server) hasn't gotten the notification.
Who knows.

eBay roll out new features to selected sellers to gauge response. Beta testing. Same here.
"Thank you for sending your order and uploading the tracking details. Provided the buyer does not have an issue with the order, you may expect funds to be released on 13 Nov." (Delivered 10-10).
Back to the future with an Escrow platform which will earn them more income. Important to push back on this. As small and micro businesses we are getting punished and abused for no reason.
Appears they are copying many 'features' on Chinese ecommerce platforms. 30 day escrow common there, but the other 'feature' is the deposit sellers have to lodge with the platform to open a store. Money for jam.
Time to petition the 'Gubment' and ACCC ? Long overdue for an enquiry into eBay practices... throw in Australia Post too.

I went here and clicked the Feedback tab - right hand side of page. This seems the only place I could vent my complaint. The Ai will probably swallow it and file it in 'Belligerent Seller' folder never to be read by human being.
https://www.ebay.com.au/help/home
"Dear eBay"
"We will close both our selling accounts if eBay introduce 30 day ESCROW holds on our payments.
Small and micro sellers rely on cash flow and eBay is screwing with sellers for no reason apart from profit generation.
We have put up with so many restrictions to date, this one is the final straw.
It is happening in USA and rolling out here. This is unfair business practice and warrants Government scrutiny.
Sellers are angry.
My guess is this feedback will get swallowed by the Ai assistant and go no where, which is the norm for eBay these days."

The note on the order page says, "Your funds will be available within 3 days of order delivery after we confirm that the buyer has no issues with the order upon receipt."
The question in my head is : Does (will) eBay demand a buyer responds to their request for confirmation an item has arrived AND the buyer has no issues with it. And if a buyer ignores eBay, how long until eBay decides it's a default 'delivery ok' situation. Even then, what if the buyer uses PayPal and exercises their money back guarantee down the track.
It's next level BS. eBay pandering to the buyer but washing their hands with the sellers money.
The Gov/ACCC are still stuck in the 90s when it comes to ecommerce.

I had no other sales during this time as I pulled the lot so I could observe what eBay does. It wasn't a big amount so I didn't mind watching.
With all this fluff about A.I., one would think it could interpret that positive feedback as confirmation of delivery and condition. But no. Clearly it's not used for payout determination. One would also think a positive feedback on an item is a general identifier of a positive transaction. But no.
Following on with my previous post, I wonder how eBay confirmed the buyer had no issue with the order.
Think I'll go buy something untracked.
