Can anyone understand how to correct the faults found in adds when the test provided by Ebay states shows non compliance with proposed add standards?
Do I have to manually re list all my 280 adds manually?

I wonder if it has something to do with the scrolling Gallery in your adds?
Ebay are proposing to stop all active content in adds in the New Year sometime.
Just a suggestion.

The use of active content in listings, including JavaScript, Flash and form actions can inhibit purchases on mobile devices and can lead to abuse in the marketplace. In 2017, we’ll limit the use of active content in all new listings across all devices and it will not appear by default. Later in 2017, we plan to remove or block listings with active content. We encourage you to limit your use of active content now.
Best get to work, is my advice.

I definately do not mean any offence to OP but I for one wont be sorry that the scrolling ads will be minimised. I find them hard on the eyes.JMO

You are not alone in hating the DSGs (dreadful scrolling galleries). From personal experience and from reading the boards for more years than I care to admit it is obvious that they are something sellers love and think buyers will like when in actual fact buyers hate the awful things.
I go so far that if one loads at the top of the listing I hit the back button before getting any further down the page. Ebay will be doing buyers a great favour if they get rid of them. As a seller I relish the thought of other sellers displaying them as it probably means fewer buyers for those sellers.

That's going to depend a bit on what active content is in your listings, or more specifically, how it can be removed.
There's still a bit over 6mths before eBay will start taking action on listings with active content, so if you find you can't remove yours without re-doing listings and/or templates, you should be able to tackle it a bit at a time if bulk-editing or updating isn't viable.
This is from US eBay, but it's a relatively comprehensive guide (for eBay, anyway) on what is / isn't allowed, and options to replace (some) active content while still acheiving the same functions:
