As a seller I wouldn't use any Auctiva related option, as a buyer I will often hit the back button before the dreadful scrolling gallery loads, I don't know if it is just my computer but it took forever for your page to load as the gallery was holding it up, if I had been interested in the item I would ditched your listing and gone on to another long before it loaded.
I don't think sellers realise just how much many buyers hate the scrolling galleries, particularly the Auctiva one, there are much better ones available and if sellers must use one they should put it at the bottom of the page, not the top. JMHO

Thanks PJ, i will be getting rid of it soon. Have tried but mixed success, I think Auctiva have made it extremely difficult to remove. Will be phoning them. But this is about a different programme, this is a rewards programme where you reward the customer for buying, paying them back 3 - 5% of the purchase price when they sign up, they also receive emails re our site, ( that is one of the things that worries me), costs $3.95 per month but they reckon repeat sales from those customers will increase 300% etc,etc,etc......just wondering if anyone has tried it yet?

I got that email this morningI too have wanted to cancel Auctiva for some considerable time and could not work out how to. This morning I went into my Paypal account and where the last amount was paid to them I clicked on Details and in that part there is a section to cancel the payment to them and I did this hope it works - certainly work a try

must have worked as this is the email I got from Paypal
"This email confirms that you have cancelled your payment agreement with Auctiva. No further payments will be made from your PayPal account to this merchant. If you have any further questions about the agreement, or wish to reinstate it, please contact Auctiva directly."

Cheers thanks crichton, good to know, but don't want to cancel my membership just the scrolling gallery, I still have some things listed via Auctiva so would presume that cancelling our payment would also stop our listings and don't want that till we get down to one or two left, then happy to relist via ebay. But happy to hear that we can cancel our payment ourselves. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this offer of "My store Rewards" rewards programme.

I have had some experience with the My Store Rewards as a buyer.
It is quite popular in the USA and I have bought from several sellers who use it. When I paid for my first order I was automatically entered into the scheme and a few weeks later I received a small refund into my paypal account from the seller.
Since then I have received regular newsletters from the sellers, making a feature of the Rewards program. So far I have bought again from one seller where the discount was added to the invoice, and one who refunded to my paypal account.
I must say I buy from these sellers because they have the best prices for what I want....the Rewards program is just a bonus. It does not influence my buying decision at all.

Thanks Lyndal, always interesting to hear from the "opposite" side of the fence. Auctiva are claiming quite high return rate from buyers so guess we would need a lot of people signed up to really make a difference. Think I will skip this one.....
