No one has started a "my sales are dead" post for a few days so I thought I'd keep the tradition going.
Anyone else suffering from a run of "lights out" at the moment? My website shop is also similarly dead. Maybe it's the time of year or maybe it's just me. How are you going?

Ditto chameleon,
Sales were dead this week until Friday. Overall down 54.7% (according to eBay performance stats) compared to last month.
People don't want little plastic building bricks - thats ok (sad but ok) I can always build them with the kids.

I think there will always be some of the population that wont be financially effected by this so some may not see much of a drop in sales.

One sale in just over two weeks on here. Sales from my website has been a completely different story! So strange.
Yes I have to agree. My current auctions are going well, very happy there, but my BIN stuff is dead, nothing is selling there. Mind you some of my prices are outrageous ๐

Mine did, sold exactly three items this month for a total of $8 not counting postage.
I suspect it is a buyer demographic thing. The buyers of DVD's and computer games would spend more time indoors and by their nature would be more insular and vulnerable to economic issues.
My clients are often mature aged men who do stuff in sheds. ( work and play ) .They are probably wealthier, less indebted, more established and carry on with their hobbies or businesses, regardless of whats happening in the economy. If a 60 YO. bloke is restoring a 1950 indian motorcycle or repairing a broken down Caterpillar excavator, they are going to buy the bits they need, when they see them, at whatever price is required and not give a stuff about Carona virus.

I suspect our sales will come in waves. The first two weeks are just shock and confusion and need to buy staples. The panic buying is slowing in our region and supplies are returning and demand slowing. Many households will be eating spaghetti bolognaise for months !
The next wave will be self isolated households who will get bored of Netflix and restart home projects. They will then start hunting for product online seeing as they cannot go out. I would prefer to be online than a bricks & mortar only store in weeks and months ahead.
If the customers can't get to their store we can take our store to the customers and in a much more safer situation.

Unfortunatley not everyone is yet heeding the Governments advice to stay put. Give it a few days when they may make it mandatory like other countries. I don't need to be told twice to stay indoors and watch TV.

I'm the opposite. I go crazy if I'm stuck at home. I love treasure hunting. It's my thing. I'm good at it ๐ but useless at converting into sales, because I hate sitting doing listings. I need a partner like you who can watch telly and do listings/postage while I scale the city looking for treasure ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ
