Re: Postage price increases

I purchased a few 10 packs of pre paid envelopes to help delay the price increase as $12 is a huge increase. I also found it strange the 500gram stayed the same price at $18.

Re: Postage price increases

So if I print out B1 box labels tomorrow before eBay increases the price on Monday, will Australia Post still accept the price as I can not lodge until Monday?? I have a couple of orders that today B1 ebay label is the cheapest option but on Monday the B1 box will not be the cheapest option.

Re: Postage price increases

In the end we just increased the price of items that go in BX1 boxes by $3 to cover the difference.

Re: Postage price increases

You should be right. The price at time of generation is the price. eBay won't wear it, although if there are repercussions they should, because the applicable postage is the one that is extant at the time of label generation. ie What is quoted by eBay when you click on 'Create Label'.

I won't be posting anything until Tuesday as I'm in the majority of the country where Post Offices aren't open on Monday, but if I have any B1 sales tomorrow I will be generating the labels before midnight.

As B1 boxes in singles are $1.75, with postage that's $12. I can buy 10 packs of 1kg satchels for $11 per. Guess which way I'm leaning?

WOW - Just checked out the new AP prices. Was that $12 I saw for an international large letter up to 250g ? Another 30% price increase. I send quite a few 250g letters OS so this is going to hurt.

Yep, that one's pretty harsh, too. At least they've introduced a 51-125g bracket at $7.50, which will be good for a lot of sellers, but it wasn't that long ago the 51-250g bracket was $6-something.

Over 250g is much more than an untracked 500g air mail parcel, aso I don't know how they figured those prices out. Smiley Frustrated

Ahhh, good point. I had 2 sales today, I can't post until Tuesday. I'd best print the labels tomorrow. Didn't give that a thought until you mentioned it.

Re: Postage price increases

This is one of the best reasons not to offer "Free" postage.

These AP price rises are becoming just a little too frequent, too hard to absorb and the workload too great sorting through listings to find and reprice the items affected.

eBay, in their wisdom, have not extended their active listing external editing function to price, only SKU.

Postage policies on the other hand offer an easy, one stop solution.
