the address on the label is 17 not 19.
So I guess it was a complete stuff up and indefensible on the part of Fastway as they provided the evidence of their own incompetence.

We had a shipment from Sydney to Melbourne that tracking shows as onboard for delivery at 8:30am Thursday morning- as at 7:30pm Friday no sight of the delivery.
I have just sent an email to the merchant seller apprising them of the delivery status and to tell them that I will no longer be making any purchases from them.
Fastway are cheap for a reason, and so why do companies risk their reputation just to save a couple of bucks per delivery?

Because statistically the vast majority of deliveries go smoothly without any issues.

I will if I relise they use Fastway REFUSE to shop with a company on ebay or any where for that matter as the company is rude and surly with no respect to the item they are delivering or the customer.
It took 6 weeks for an item to be delivered as the driver didn't even ring the bell just left a card and disappeared without leaving the item, I'm housebound so had no alternative then to get a redelivery, as I said 6 weeks it took to get it with all number of excuses from the office where one staff member was just as rude and tried to tell me I hadn't placed a redelivery order online.... up until that is I said I could quote him the responding email that I still had for that resend, what a crock and yes he soon changed his tune!
Sadly another parcel came from them as well and the driver told me I was lucky to get it as it was heavy and he had broken ribs so was going to leave it at the depot! How is that my fault or why should he make me feel bad like I'd ordered something just to upset him, he should recover and then come back to work when he's fit, not tell me I'm "lucky" to have gotten it!
I wish company's would take notice of our complaints about Fastway and stop using them as they are only hurting themselves as we the customers as I said above will refuse to shop with them if we have to deal with this sort of untolerable interactions with delivery drivers!

You may not know if a seller is using Fastway.
A lot of sellers who use courier delivery do so through a courier broker service such as Sendle and the seller will have no idea which courier will be delivering your item.
Unfortunately Fastway feature heavily in the services offered by brokers because they are cheap (and nasty).....you definitely get what you pay for.
Just a tip for anyone who needs to arrange a redelivery......instead of ringing and abusing the office staff (even if justified) just use the online option with no further comment. Most companies offer an Authority to Leave service with your choice of where the item is to be left.
I have always found it works like a charm.....parcel arrives next business day and is left in my designated Safe Drop place.
If the service you received was really terrible there is usually a website for you to vent your anger....complaining to the office staff is useless as they cannot do anything about the actions of the drivers and just gets them offside.

A big part of the problem is eBays contract with Fastway in Australia. If all those who are unhappy with Fastways appalling service (and yes it is appalling - the only courier service I know that doesnt have an option or parcel collection outside of business hours in Sydney metro) report the matter to eBay they may just reconsider renewing their contract. I'm also going to start contacting sellers when i buy anything on eBay and requesting they dont use Fastway as the courier service (since it means I get my parcels weeks later than I should or not at all)

As said before, if a seller is using a courier broker - and a lot do - they won't know which courier is going to be used by that broker....
