Hi, I have reached the 100 item limit. I have 4 positive feedbacks and I have sold 3 more items. I want to request another 100 items the same month I opened - this month. I want to list them this weekend.
Now this is the thing I am confused about. I paid $20 a month for 200 listings, if I request another 100 will those listings be free as I would have a total of 200 listings which is advertised as free on Ebay for a store each month.
Thanks.

So opening another store probable is the best option if you cant wait 3 months.
And then just link them
I have so many parts to list.

Hey also, should i bother just trying after the first 45 days even though I dont have the 50 feedback.
Will it hurt my record or something if I try.?

You could open another store under a different userID.
But you are going to have the very same limit problems you are experiencing now.
But you would have (perhaps) a selling limit of 100 on that one as well.
A couple of things to keep in mind in doing this...
a). it is against ebay policy to open another ID to circumvent ebay limits/restrictions. They could ping you for doing this and you could lose both stores without warning. Caution here!
b.) you cannot list duplicate items on another ID. That is also against ebay policy. But if you have enough different items so that there will be no duplicates on the other ID then no problems with this part of it.
When we opened our second store our original one was already well established with no restrictions. This helped us get our limits raised reasonably quickly.
So be careful how you tread doing this.
Bottom line is don't try to run before you can walk.

You can try after the initial 45-days. It won't hurt your record.
They will pretty quickly tell you if/not they will grant any limit increase.

But having done that you would then have to wait another 30-days before you can call them about it again. The count starts from your last call.

NO. There are no guarantees that linking stores will get you higher limits.
Opening another store/ID will most likely simply cost you more money each month and may not give you many more listings. Your current ID is too new to have any influence on a new one. If you had a long established ID with good standing and plenty of RECENT positive feedback, it might help, but that is not the case, so there is every likelihood that your second ID would have an even lower limit than the first, probably 10 listings initally, and they may not be inclined to raise it despite your other ID.
I have two stores/IDs, my first has been open since eBay started in Australia, the second I opened last year to separate my specialty product line from my general merchandise. The new ID started with a limit of 10 and linking the two only got me an increase to 50, I still had to "prove myself" over several months before I reached a reasonable limit. 12 monhs on it still has a limit of 1300 items.
You just need to have patience and work through the process. THERE IS NO MAGIC TRICK THAT WILL GIVE YOU HIGHER LIMITS RIGHT NOW. Furthermore eBay may well see the second ID as an attempt to circumvent restrictions and get you a policy violation. That would not help you with getting a limit increase on the first ID down the track.

Penny and Clarry are correct about this little detail.
Do you have a wife or partner ? Are they interested in selling auto electrical parts ? If so they could open a store with seperate email address, seperate bank account details, seperate credit card linked to the account etc. ( all of this would need to be in their own name only ). They may well recieve a similar selling limit to what you have now and anything they sell will count on their tax record for income, not yours. This is how my wife and I have structured our ebay businesses.
If you are serious about establishing a business on ebay it may be worth getting the set-up right, from the start for tax purposes. If this is of interest PLEASE CONSULT YOUR ACCOUNTANT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING !!!!
It goes without saying that your wife or partner would of course be the one on the computer doing the work. ( or at least providing proffesional advice and management to you as to how her store is run. )

Problem is they would probably have the same ip address so could risk everything if there was a duplicate listing on both ids.
If you open another store you may find you are restricted to just 10 listings to start with, that is what happens to most people.
Why not open a non store id and list up to your limit as BINs for 10 days, if you qualify for the 3 free relists (don't know if they are included in listing limits) you are effectively listing items for 28 days at no charge. If you can get the listing limit up to 100 by adding a credit card you could have another 40 listings. They must not be for the same items on the store id.

This is probably not a bad idea either and would give the OP access to the 150 freebies ( if eligable for at least some ) which have been coming in pretty rergularly. A nice low cost option. .
One minor detail..... Are the 3 free relists still going ? I dont recieve them, but I thought they have been replaced by giving private sellers access to the same listing tools stores have ie. 30 day BIN listings ( Buy it now ) and Good Till Cancelled BIN listings. At least thats what is showing on our private account at the moment. The functions are actually working too, unlike previous glitches where the options showed but did not work.

I occasionaly, un-intentionally list similar items on both stores and have never had any problems ( different photos though as I take my own, not using stock photos ) .
I dont make a practice of it and are not encouraging people to list the same items on different stores, just saying if the odd mistake gets through, it may not be the end of the world.
