Hi Everyone, Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads. Can someone tell me how I go about opening a second account for selling just auctions and a PayPal account. I am already set up as a store, and I want to keep this one separate. Many thanks.

Set up a selling account exactly as you did for your store, just don't choose a store subscription at this stage.

You will need a different email address to start the new account on eBay, but you can link up to (8 ?? I think) accounts to the same paypal address.

Hi, I am wanting to do the same thing to sell books in a shop and auction other goods. Can anyone tell me if it is all right to direct customers to my shop from the non-shop account? That is, can I give information about my shop on the the non-shop account?

Absolutely. You can certainly direct buyers to your store or alternate eBay accounts without any problems at all. It's only when you try to solicit buyers to off-site or private non-eBay accounts that they tend to become a bit annoyed.

hi i tried this yesterday setting up second account  and recieved a  MC113    Your eBay account was suspended because recent account activity has raised serious security concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay Community.  i only got a tshirt on. or do they know i have 2 accounts. different email addresses and linked to my paypal thank you

Ebay's incompetent stupidity strikes again! Clearly they have issued your MC113 in error and I expect a phone call to somebody with half a brain in CS should have the issue sorted soon enough.

Yes, absolutely!  I even have a <<click here>> button in the non-store listings which take the buyer to the store account, so they don't have to search for the other ID.  It's all above-board, no problems!  Just don't have any links to sell things OUTSIDE of ebay.

Yes, you just go to File; Change User and then in the new window, select New... follow the prompts from there.

Each time you want to change the account you are using, go back to Chang User as above.
