They don't do anything for them,(if they ask they get a simple message explaining that they choose to use an unsafe payment method and are therefore not covered),
I'm wondering whether they are at the point where they don't care any more because they still get their fees from the scammers. Small price to pay by the scammers by getting all that extra money for free.
They don't collect any fees from the scammer as they withdraw all the money from their PP account and then
just start a new one.
That's what doesn't make sense as scammers hurt this site and eBay seem to have a lack of interest in
removing them,
It does make a mockery of the system though. If it was you or me that was doing it, they'd be shafting us quick smart. Or, look at all those reliable sellers who got kicked off for too many defects. They shaft them pretty quickly.
That's what made some members question over time whether the scammers were sanctioned by eBay,
They have a system to punish good reliable sellers quickly but scammers can take weeks to get removed,(
if they are removed at all),
What amazes me is, eBay states in their policy that if you are suspended or fall below standard you can't create a new account to bypass those sanctions. Yet, we see time and time again the same scammers opening or hijacking new accounts. It is blatantly obvious by the names and layouts of the listings. Not to mention the items they list.
