Ebay should consdider not allowing negative feedback to be posted by a buyer unless they have had some sort of communication with the seller.

The last one i received was with no comms at all - just a rant and "you get what you pay for"  ...apparently you should get more than you pay for or its just not good enough;/

This way Ebay can see what has been done to try to resolve an issue and see if the buyer is in fact being reasonable or just a PITA.

What makes you think your buyers wouldn't have negged you anyway even if they had contacted you? I don't leave a pos just because a seller refunds me unless they do it without question and they pay for the return if it is faulty or not as described.

When buyers go to enter negative feedback, they are given the opportunity to try to resolve the issue with the seller first.

If the above screen is ignored, buyers are then given a second opportunity to reconsider their decision, so it's not as if negative feedback can be left accidentally. Doing so is an intentional two-step process.

To be honest, that's good enough for me. If I bypass those two warnings, I'm absolutely certain I want to leave negative feedback.

I recently recieved a Neutral for a vintage car light that was supposedly welded shut. Buyer claimed he could not access the bulb. The problem was it was made that way. You simply unclip the lens to access the bulb. Had he contacted me I could have explained this. No contact from him afterwards when I still tried to resolve the issue either. He waited until the very last minute to leave feedback too, so it was a carefully planned thing. There was nothing wrong with the item, it was the buyer that was the problem.

I know what you mean. I have sold brand new things still with tags attached and had complaints that are complete lies. I think some people just like complaining about anything and everything.

I dont agree with the "two warnings are you sure"

Like i said the last one was no comms at all with me ..  they got what they ordered but "expected" more - how am i supposed to meet everyones "expectations" ?

If there is a problem you talk about it ... i would have no problem getting the rug back and refunding - he would have been happy .. i would have chalked it up to an expense and we all move on. but no .. big rant and he is stuck with something he is unhappy with and so am i.

If you are unhappy with a B&M store do you park outside with a sign or go in an talk to them to resolve it ?

An unreasonable buyer won't bother with the 2 warnings and will simply go straight ahead and leave negative feedback which is a bit silly really because by doing so they essentially give up any hope of reaching a satisfactory compromise with their seller. Some might call it cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.
