Good morning.
I was just wondering if there is a protocol in place for when a member is able to start selling? For example: do I need to have a certain number of feedback from buying items?
I have a few items such as household items, books, dvds and a couple of pick up items also that I'd like to get rid of.
Obviously as a new member with only 1 feedback so far people might be wary. I am purchasing some lower cost items to try to build up feedback score.
thank you in anticipation of your advice and tips.

All you need to to is upgrade your PP account to a premiere account, There is no fee to do this but it allows you to accept payments from others.
Have you Credit card details on record with ebay and advise how you will pay your ebay fees and then you can sell.

You may like to consider changing your siggie before asking too many questions on the boards. I don't appreciate being told that my advice stinks by someone supposedly new to ebay and the forums.

Welcome grumpy*cat*rocks ! ๐ When I first started I did as you are doing, buying to build up some feedback, but the other thing I found is it helps you get a better idea of how to attract your buyers from having browsed and bought yourself , eg what would you want to know before you buy, what your expectations are of sellers, do you prefer auctions or buy it now listings etc. You can also search for and watch items similar to those you want to sell and pick up a few tips that way.

lyndal I took the siggie more as self-deprecation as in refering to HER place not here on the boards...??? But you're right though all the same, could put a lot of people off...

Did you see the original siggie Jane? It was considerably more offensive than the current one.
And nowhere did I say the OP had to change anything...I suggested he/she might like to do so.
No skin off my nose if it had not been changed.

Yes Lyndal, I did see the original siggie... and I LAUGHED! :^O
..and no you didnt say grumpy cats HAD to change her siggie, but you were pretty straight forward and blunt in your comments about it.
Maybe the difference here is that I have a broad sence of humour and you ..well... dont!
