What have eBay's Trust and Safety Department & the loch ness Monster have in common?

Answer  :  They are both a Myth.."A widely held but false belief or idea".

Now while I believe I have more of a chance of ol nessie popping up in my swimming pool tonight than ever

getting eBay to do their jobs and action at least one of the two hundred listing violation reports I have submitted to them over the past month, I was hoping that perhaps someone might still be able to give me some advice that will spur them into action.

I know this is not a unique topic and I apologise to everyone for this.  But here is my problem.

Over the past 3-5 years, while working as a Flight Attendant, I have purchased roughly $30k worth of Authentic
Children's Burberry Clothing items directly from the Burberry Boutiques in the U.S.  I have recently opened this new account and closed my previous one as my marriage ended and I wanted a fresh start from anything connected to the ex.  For the years 2013 + 2014, my sales were good.  I had Top Seller Status and was making a nice little profit from the amount of stuff selling.  This year however has been worse than bad.  My sales have completely dropped off even though I have them listed at lower prices than I did during the past two years.  So it got me thinking.  Why has this happened?  Is it a result of the economy? Is it because I have a brand new account and buyers may not trust my credibility? Or, is there more sellers this year also selling Burberry Kids Clothing and I'm either being undercut or they have a bigger range?  See that was the other problem.  With the new account, eBay put a ridiculously low selling limit on me and I was only able to list 10 items (however this has now been rectified).  So I take a look and NOOOO, its nothing to do with anything I had expected.  I almost fell off my chair when I looked and saw a few different sellers with over 100 fake Burberry kids items in their stores.  Worse still, these listings were selling like hotcakes.  Anyway, I did what eBay tell us all to do...REPORT, REPORT, REPORT.  I reported each individual listing from each seller pedalling fake product yet not one of the listings were removed.  So I then phoned eBay customer service.  I gave the girl the seller's id's and she said she would pass them on to the "Trust and Safety Department" people to investigate. So I'm thinking, finally something will be done.  But, again no.  I may have not even bothered calling.  Finally in

my anger, I sent them a email that took me over two hours to compose stating the sellers id, each listing number and how many items were being sold within the particular listing.  I explained in detail the reasons why I believe the items are fake (different tags, different way they size their items, the low prices, the incorrect look of the logo etc etc etc).  I explained that these sellers are in breach of eBay's VeRo policy not to mention commiting a criminal act.  And guess what? I heard back from eBay!!!  What they told me was

"We are not proceeding with the investigation against the seller as their feedback does not indicate to us that there are any customer problems"! F%@K ME.  So I wrote back and said "So its OK then if a seller breaches your own policies as long as the customer is happy is it?".  I have not had anything back from them in reply yet.

So guys, thats my story.  As a example of what I am talking about, please go to 251733513855.

This person is one of the main listing violaters and I just don't know what to do.  I have all this stock here

that I am certain is not going to be easy to sell as people are looking at the above mentioned sellers prices and then looking at the prices I have to sell at (as I paid up to 5x what this person is selling their fake stuff for) and then looking at that sellers price and either thinking to themselves "Man, that other seller (me) is a rip-off" or "I don't care if this might be a fake, its heaps cheaper than the real thing".

I would be really so grateful if anyone could offer some advice. I just want justice as one of the reasons I decided to trade Burberry on eBay was because they state they do not allow fake, copyright, replica items to be sold.  Yet because they don't give a rat's bum about their own policies, now I'm stuck with tens of thousands of dollars worth of stock that I can't move as eBay can't/won't do their jobs.

Thank You everyone for reading this saga.  Again I appreciate any/all help.

Cheers Woman Frustrated

TG..You should work for ASIO! lol! Dead set, I never even noticed that.  Unfortunately the first photo is also a fake but I'm thinking the first pic will be from whichever dodgy manufacturer is selling these fakes and the second, third and fourth pics are this sellers own additional pics.

Do you think if I was to report this to Burberry, there could be a chance Burberry then turn around and tell eBay Australia that they will no longer allow any Burberry items (even authentic goods) to be traded from now on?. Its just that with the amount of fake Burberry stuff in most categories being sold on eBay AU, I wouldn't blame them if they decide its not worth the companies reputation to allow their product to be traded on eBay AU anymore.

Thanks so much for your advice.  I will do as you suggested if you don't think it might be likely Burberry might pull out of eBay AU.

You too are a legend!  So it's gotta be fake (as are all the other items being sold by this seller).

You are one clever cookie! Thanks for that find.  10 Million kudos your way. Woman Very Happy

They could....but you could also send them your invoices from your own purchases and get them to 'exempt you'...they might even do it in writing...unfortunately it's the 'chance you take'

Re: What have eBay's Trust and Safety Department & the loch ness Monster have in common?

Sorry just another question..

Do you think that if I messaged the seller and included the aliexpress pic, I could say that I know she is selling fake stuff which is against eBay policy so she needs to remove all her fake listings?  If I was to create a new account and send the message from there?  I wouldn't send it from my own account.  She would probably take revenge on me if she knew who I was. What do you guys think? Twyn, Ima?

Very True.  How Stupid Of Me.

Thank You for that VERY helpful advice.

I think I will do as you suggested with the screen shot and see what Burberry have to say.  I have all the

Burberry Boutique Receipts for all of the purchases I have made so with luck, they might give me a break.

Thanks again for all your help.
