So question is Why cancelling a transaction is too though?
Where it can be a click job to send cancel transaction to a buyer.
Currently the lenghty process inlude:
1. Open Resolution Center
2. Select cancel transaction option
3. Enter Item Number to search
4. Move to the page (manualy) where the buyer ID can be (NO SEARCH OPTION BY USER ID ๐
5. Select buyer and then finally to the cancel transaction page
6. Select reason, put messatge etc. and then request to buyer
It is bit weired that why ebay have not simplfied this whole process. As there are many places where we can directly access list of transaction i.e. Selling Manager Pro and there are many options are already available like (see atcched image):
Print postage label
Add tracking number
View sales record
Print address label or invoices
Mark posted
Leave feedback
CONTACT BUYER [WHY NOT CANCEL TRANSACTION ALSO HERE]
Sell similar
Relist
Archive
So what is wrong in adding a new option here 'Send Cancel Transaction Request' that can simply save time wasted in following above length six steps.

If the buyer hasn't paid, I'm pretty sure that 'Resolve a problem' is an option on that pull-down menu next to the purcahse. Once you choose that, it will give you the option to 'Cancel the transaction' (which is automatically linked to the buyer and their item).
If the buyer has already paid but wants to cancel, I think you need to issue a full refund, then choose 'Resolve a problem', then choose the 2nd option below. Once the buyers accepts the cancellation or 7 days have passed, the fvf is credited back to the seller. I just got the pic below from the web--it looks different in our system.

Thanks for your reply.
I must have mentioned that I am talking about cancelling a transaction after issuing the refund to buyer. In such case, there are still 6 time wasting steps that a seller have to follow. Moreover, as asson a seller issues refund to a buyer the transaction started to show under "Awaiting Payments". There is no way to cancel a transaction over there. Again, 'resolve a problem' options brings to resolution center and there six steps are waiting for a buyer to follow.
The solution is straight forward, a direct 'cancel transaction' link in context menu of a transaction that should take direclty to step six.
Hello ebay anyone listining???

Not here. This is a member to member board. As they all are.
Maybe eBay aren't interested in making it too easy for sellers to get their FVFs back.
You could try 'Tell Us What You Think'. Down the bottom of every page, but I don't know how many more steps it involves after the initial click.
Another thought - from August these types of refunds will probably be counted as 'defects', so maybe try to avoid having to do them in the first place. You obviously do a lot of refunds/MCs or it wouldn't be an issue.

I have many times issued a refund to a buyer then sent a request to cancel the transaction through the 'resolve a problem' link. I click on the link to 'I sold an item and want to cancel the transaction' - that takes me to the page where I select the reason for the cancellation and that's all there is to it.
I don't find that very complicated at all - it couldn't be simpler. I can't understand what 'six steps' you're talking about - it only takes me two clicks - about 30 seconds.
