any help with a buyer not happy

Hi i sold a new scarf a few weeks ago.  Now i hardly sell on ebay only 5% or less most on other avenues. I dont trust paypal with shonky buyers so always make sure i get registered post and signature.  So i looked over and over and over in the light the silk new scarf and there was no faults at all no holes whatsoever if there was would NEVER EVER sell on here.

The lady got the scarf was happy sent excellent feedback.  weeks later today she wrote shes not happy shes gone to iron the silk scarf and there is over 10 small holes and sticky mark.  I  have NO idea what she is talking about as i said i look over and over with my glasses in the light held it up in the light and thought all good its fine.   Ive told her to iron silk you have to make sure its on very low setting so i dont want to say she melted it but what else could it be and the sticky mark i have no idea.  This is the whole reason i never sell on here.  I sell sooo much on facebook abit on quicksales and never needed ebay  but thought i would just put a few back up and see. I sold a few thing most dont sell here and yep got 2 non payers and this lady and a item that hasnt arrived.  If i have reg post and the item doesnt make it (they want it for this weekend) what happens now?  If paypal refunds both these people i will be pretty **bleep** off as both is not my fault.

so as this lady has put excellent feedback can she now start a dispute she got something that she didnt pay for?

tiggy, I was going to say just refund the 15 and be done with it but am I right to understand that PayPal has covered the refund ?

yes paypal just refund this buyer and refunded my money back

So glad you got your money back, at least, though it would be annoying to know the buyer got paid out too.

I think the thing that has surprised me most here is the fact the woman opened a case weeks after giving good feedback & obviously after either washing or ironing the scarf. You wouldn't think someone would have the audacity to complain & even mention an iron in the same message.

I was recently at a silk factory & was told silk should not even be washed in normal detergent, so there are plenty of chances to damage it. You'd think your photos & her messages would have added up to it obviously being faults caused at her end. Seems paypal saw this, which is why you were refunded. Why they don't stand up to some buyers though beats me.

I'd be interested to know which venues on FB work best for you-local buy sell pages or the marketplace? Like you, I'm wary of selling on ebay these days. Had years of hassle free selling then surprise, surprise, a spurious claim and a few shonky buyers in more recent times.

Hi just glad to get that buyer out the way.  Out of the last 9 transactions only 3 ive had no problems with.  NEVER get this on facebook only the few weird ones that want you to drive 50km to hand deliver a $10 item and wonders why i wont lol lol.   I have my own page and then advertise on the selling pages and on marketplace.  I do sell alot more than here but hey i dont have to put up the postage price and item price just to pay the stupid 3 lots of fees.  I can sell cheaper on facebook so the buyer wins there and there is no paycrap telling me what to do and holding my breath when buyers receive their items not like facebook rarely ever ever have problems and then i can work it out and refund if my fault not have a corrupt firm telling me what to do.  Quicksales is getting far too quiet there now

I hope you put all the buyers you've had problems with on your blocked list so they can't buy again. That's if you ever sell here again.
