eBay pays some "Mentors" to post on Community boards?

I woulda kept this to myself except the constant scuttling of rodents about this place requires some kind of pest control ..

"It appears eBay is paying some people to respond to questions on its community discussion boards."

So hopefully that puts to rest the speculation about certain ebay cheerleaders about the place here .. it certainly explains why they actually live here and are so nasty to people who post about difficult topics here .. this corrupt empire is crumbling into a cesspool .. this would explain why it is so painful attempting any type of serious conversation on this seller board here ..

Everything I post here is true

Yeah, right.

Like your unsupported and non-evidential assumption that I use 3 IDs to post on the boards. I use one, on the PS board and only there, and this one on the general boards.

As far as the L,W&W goes, YOU stated it had torn covers, revealed very little initial information, which would presuppose a paperback.

FYI, $4k for a HC first would need to be at least 'fine', which torn covers precludes. Unless you're not telling us the true condition. Which, by omission at least, is, DA-DA, lying. I realise you want to big note yourself. What I don't understand is how you have so much time to run your many farms. Why bother? You are making squillions from online selling of stuff you bought for a buck.

Do you really find it that difficult to do a simple google search and comparison valuation david ?  As you seem incapable of doing it,  I will help you ................

The first two copies shown don't have the original dust jacket. ( which my copy has ) In fact the cheapest copy on Abebooks with original DJ is $5295 U.S. which equates to $6978 Australian. My book has been passed on to a specialist archival document restorer who will do some minor repairs ( stabilising DJ and paste down tears to hinges of covers ) before the book is made available for sale.

The only reason I posted any of this was as a response to Dom who attempted to make her usual put downs about my voluntary community work and you have continued the theme. I appreciate that you mainly deal in $8.00 fantasy books and it would appear you have never sold anything in this league as you find it so hard to believe it could happen, but it is unfortunate that your jealousy is clouding your judgment to the point you cant ( or wont ) even do a simple google search.

While books of this value are uncommon, I have sold a number of similar books over the years and currently have another rarer book of much higher value sitting at home. So while it might all seem impossible to you, ( hence your disbelief that anyone else could do it )  its really just another very good day at the office for me.

As for the time to run farms, as mentioned a week or so ago, I have started employing some-one on a regular casual basis. This has taken some of the pressure off and allows me time to do the things I enjoy doing ( such as voluntary community work )

Reading your posts on this thread chameleon54, both earlier and towards the end, there is BIG TRUTH in what you have said. The OP has made some valid points as well.
