Free for the first 40 listings per month. Then you pay a listing fee after that. I see you have over 100 listings.
The info on fees is easy to find.

Are you saying you have been chraged the $1.50 per item to LIST each one for sale, you have sold a lot in the past month(it looks well over 40 to me) and would have been charged ebay's fee for each sale /item sold.
Completely different fee to the actual fee to list in the first place, which would be charged once you go over those 40 items
If you had 40 free listings, and have been charged $1.50 on ALL of them(including the over and above) , I would suggest contacting ebay

First 40 free. Then you pay for each listing after that
Did you even know about final value fees or fees on postage?

ebay is not a charity, they are a huge multinational money making company, they make money by charging fees to people who sell and buy using their platform. they hand out 40 free listings per month, once you go over that 40 you are charged minimum $1.50 per listing. when any item sells the seller (you) are charged further fees on the final amount you recieved for the sale of the item.
you have to add the fees into your sales when listing so you dont fall over when the monthly ebay charge bill hits you.
i'm sure most new sellers take time to get used to the end of month bill.

You don't appear to be a new seller.
How is it that you haven't understood the deal offered of 40 free listings a month and insertion fees applying over and above that many sales in the calendar month??
Its been in place for an awful long time !

You have been selling here for more than a year at the least, how could you not know that eBay charges listing fees once you go over the 40 free listings each month? If you can't afford the fees, don't go over your free allocation each month, then you will only need to pay sales fees, and not listing fees. You can hardly say eBay is ripping you off if you have been using the system as long as you have? The current fee structure has been in place for at least a couple of years now, the fees are laid out clearly, it is up to sellers to make sure they acquaint themselves with them and if they think they are excessive, look for alternatives, although to be honest, it wouldn't matter what eBay charged, most stay because there simply is no other venue with the same level of traffic.
