Hi,
I am currently having a problem with a buyer. I sold her an tiem on 19/09 which she paid for on the 20/09. Since then i have received 10 messages and counting (the are coming in as i speak) asking where her item is. I have in my postage and handling a handling time of 3 days and standard post of 1 to 6 days. She even harrassed me over the long weekend. She is now demanding a refund of her money. I have told her that the item is in the post, i posted it on the 22/09. I dont believe her and think that even if the item now gets to her that she will still demand a refund. Where do i stand with this buyer. She has turned a simple sale into a nightmare !
Cheers
Jeff

Did you use click and send? if so track the item on the C&S website and send the tracking number to the buyer, this should help allay their fears. I must admit, I would have expected to receive my item by now had I paid on the 20th September, that is now 15 days, and public holiday aside should well and truly have arrived.

Hi carly - by clearing did you mean the buyer paid with paypal e-cheque ? or did you wait until you transferred the paypal payment to your account? How you run your accounts is completely up to you of course, but as a rule a seller will send immediately upon paypal payment (unless it is an echeque which can take 3 - 7 days) IMO the buyer should not be kept waiting for the money to go into your account as it is as good as there once it is in paypal. Just a thought, and perhaps you did not quite understand how it all worked, don't mean to step on any toes, but this early on in your selling career you don't want to get marked down for delivery times. Also - C&S can now be paid via paypal, so sellers who may have had to wait to afford to send can do so straight away.

for example i sold snow white and the seven dwarfs dvd on the 28th and sent it on the 30th so that is only 2 days

Hey Carly - you are doing exactly the right thing, never ever send until you receive notification from paypal, and so long as you have the time listed (7 days handling) or whatever suitsyour circumstances in your listing then a buyer will happy. It is usually only when a buyer thinks an item is lost, or they can't contact you that they tend to get a bit wary. Good luck with it all Love the DVD's you have

"i posted it on the 22/09"
Which state was the parcel going to as with the public holiday, it's only the 6th working day today ?
You'll need to explain to the buyer as nicely as possible that (if applicable) interstate delivery can take a lot longer than that.
