Anyone else having problems with the automatic (3) free re-lists coming off the 100 free listings that started today? .
Seems to be some sort of glitch

I believe they usually relist with the same quantity, but I think this is all part of the general glitch with this particular 100.
To explain what I mean - the 100 didn't apply to items that auto relisted during the time of the promotion, yet pre-existing listings that are auto relisting are somehow connected to the 100 because the relists are coming off the 100.
The 100 freebies also don't apply to multiple listings, so perhaps the glitch is also tying your prior multiple listings in to the 100 and changing them to a quantity of 1 when they relist.
I'd be inclined to take AR off any old listings with multiples in them so they drop into unsold with the same number available, unless you feel like doing lots of work to figure out how many you had available in the original listings.
I haven't done any multiple listings on the non-store ID for a while so I can't check, but is there a quantity shown in the "your item didn't sell" or "your item has been relisted emails? That may or may not be easier than physically checking your stock.

Thank you so much englishrose. I left here and went off to the other ID, went through and checked stock & revised every listing to amend quantities & then just popped in here before heading off for the night
To be honest, I did think to check the emails & they were all only showing 1, so it must happen when they re-list as when I thought about it, they had already re-listed once. When I think about it now, it did happen before, but I thought I had made an error - now I am sure it wasn't me at all ! Strange too because about 3 did not have the re-list box to tick, but all the rest did. And any items that had sold actually meant the listing dropped off, which I hadn't noticed. So I guess in the end I resolved several issues at once as I had to re-list them.
So frustrating, originally they wouldn't take this ID into consideration with the Selling Limits, so had to contact them & have the limits raised from 20 to 100, so I did have to juggle the quantities to begin with so I didn't go over my limit of 100 because that is based on number of items not number of listings. While I was re-listing & increasing the quantities I totally forgot about the limit so it will be interesting to see what happens when the re-lists roll over !! I did get a message though while I was doing it to say my limit for the month has been increased by 22 but that I have to ring to arrange that, but it won't be enough - might need to do some sweet talking
I am assuming because I have a selling limit of 100, that would be the reason why I can't find any reference to the Promotional 100 Free listings, although I did receive an email & accept the offer. Nor can I find anything about the 40 free per month
Funny how quickly you forget all the initial stuff, I've only been selling a few years & it's like starting all over again from scratch & it's all so basic & different without a store - it's actually taken me a bit to get used to.
Thanks so much for your help & suggestions - I think your suggestion to take AR off any old listings with multiples in them so they drop into unsold with the same number available, unless you feel like doing lots of work to figure out how many you had available in the original listings will be the way to go in future, but will call it quits tonight & look at trying to 'untick the box' later to-day. My only concern doing that, is that then to re-list they will use up the 40 freebies per month ? - a case of damned if you do & damned if you don't perhaps

Yes, you'll probably have to use your 40 to relist everything, unless you can end your listings and relist them from the 100 with a quantity of 1 in each listing, and then try adjusting the quantities after the current promotion ends. Even though this promotion doesn't include multi quantity listings you could always try relisting with quantities and see if it works.
If your listings will end within this promotion period once you remove AR, you won't need to end them in order to relist them, but you could try ending the others so you can relist using the 100. It might not work but you might not be any worse off than under the current scenario.
If this has happened before with your quantities changing, or even if it hasn't, it might pay you to put notes on your listing for a while with a record of how many items you have. That way you can easily readjust the amount available if something goes wrong. You'd have to update the notes every time you get a sale but you could just put a note to say X number left on a certain date, and update the note once a week. Of course, if there's only one available and someone buys it, you've used up a listing.
I think we just have to accept that this 100 just aren't going to work for some people. It'd be nice if everything had gone smoothly but I'm not going to rant and rave over it because it's not going to change anything, and getting angry will only affect my health.

Do you have the counter down the bottom of your selling page (All Selling)? I've got selling limits on one of my IDs but it usually shows the 100 when I accept them, and the counter for the 40 is always there. Before I was allowed to have 100 items listed I could still accept the 100 and I think they even showed on the counter, but I could only use as many as my limits would allow.
You're only allowed to have X number of listings at any one time, and that number includes any sold items, but when those listings end up in unsold you can list up to your limit again, whether it's from freebies or whether you pay for listings. For example, if your limit is only 50 and you do 40 listings from your freebies, and then they offer you another 100, you can do another 10, and then another 40 if the first 40 drop into unsold.
Sorry if this is long-winded but I wanted to try and explain it fully.
I don't know whether anything has changed lately but on my ID with limits I often used to list things with multiple quantities and they never reverted to 1.

Ebay Stealing from the so called 100 Free Listings is the Real Problem. People accept the offer of FREE 100 lists and then relists for previous listed items with FREE Relists are removed from their total. This means Ebay In Fact does not provide the 100 relists they promised. Ebay will No Doubt wash their hands of the Issue as it will be all over by Midnight Wednesday and they will progress onto their Next False Promise and Lies. The amount of faulty Information and faults Keep Getting Worse & Worse.

Totally agree, have just watched my normal free relistings- relist , and yes they are still coming off, I wonder what will happen after Weds night. are they going to keep taking them off our normal 40 listings which I only have 3 left, then start charging the $1.50 for free relisting.
will be waiting to untick everything ,

Try listing something else for Free before another item relsts worked for me on another id. If a new listing using the so called 100 Free listings is used it will start and if you use them all before the So Called 3 Free relistings your number of available is unaffected.

Sorry that should read Using Your Free relisting

I decided to hassle eBay by ringing to follow up the call early yesterday, where they told me they were aware of the problem and it was being looked into.
I rang early this morning .... on hold for nearly an hour .... then again later in the morning and the same (I put the phone on speaker phone and did things while I waited). Then called early this evening and waited for 10 minutes, and was told I couldn't be transferred as they were having technical difficulties and would call me back. STILL WAITING ๐
I have listed about 40 items now, and have 17 left ....

Just got this reply to an email I sent to CS yesturday.
Doesn't look like it will be fixed any time soon but at least they are aware
So many technical issues lately. I have spent more time contacting Ebay than listing more items!
Thanks for contacting eBay about your promotional listings. I understand that you're confused about why you're 100 free listing promo was used for your automatic relisted listings.
I double checked the item numbers you've provided and I've seen that there's some technical issues about this since it's pretty clear that your listing shouldn't covered with your 100 free listing promo since automatic relist listings are not eligible for the promo.
I sent a follow up report to our technical support team so they can conduct an immediate investigation regarding this matter. I know how important it is for you to get the resolution right away but i really need your patience about this since this is a critical matter and it needs time to research. I can't give you the specific date on when this can be fixed but rest assured that our technical team are very keen in resolving issues like this.
Thanks for your patience.
