i'm sure a lot or most of you probably received the managed payments email this morning. in case you didn't, or missed here - ebay is rolling out managed payments later in the year with pre-registration opening shortly.
more info is located at https://sellercentre.ebay.com.au/managed-payments

Yep, the great money grab. Oh but don't forget it'll save us money 😉
Money grab how? If they're offering to clear it daily, how does that equate to "grabbing" it?
You don't "have" it when it's with PayPal either - they do. The difference is you can spend it elsewhere directly from them.

They might offer to "clear it daily" but I still haven't got my money.

This thread is too long to check if my question has been asked.
What happens if my monthly fees are due after MP comes into effect ?
Currently my fees are paid using PayPal.
Will my pre-MP fees still come from PayPal one last time or must I transfer
funds to my linked bank account before they are due ?

I think you do nothing - I have "managed payments' and the screen says payment for my monthly invoice will come from paypal, as originally set up.

What point is this making? Does that mean you don't have the money in your bank because it's electronic but you can spend it elsewhere too?
The point is that having money in the bank and having money in PayPal are two different things, despite some conflating the two, and eBay don't appear to be holding on to, or "grabbing" money as some feared.
As oz-e-seller has reported, funds are hitting their particualr account the morning those respective sales, which suggests any delays aren't due to arbitrary delays on eBay's side, but instead the usual inter-bank transfer delays that vary depending on who people bank with.
Sure, it's going to be an inconvenience to those used to spending funds directly from PayPal the same day payments are received, particularly for those banking with institutions where it takes several days for funds to show up, but it's hardly the end-of-the-world scenario some are painting it to be.

Thanks for the clarification. Have a great day.

I don't think anyone can answer that accurately while it's changing over. Maybe for now have enough money in your bank account. If they try to take it from psypal, paypal will source it from your bank anyway. Just my thought
