Plus more comments on another thread about managed payments.

It seems to be very common, but not universal.

The penny dropped today after a CS chat about our new 'Below Average' seller level on our clearance site. The 'Customer Service' guy is not employed by eBay, just a call centre script monkey from a third party provider.

Every answer was simply a cut and paste reply and basically couldn't give a **** about the 'customer'. I think that is eBay's approach hoping you simply give up and go away.

There are days that selling **bleep** really starts to wane and wonder why you bother sometimes... one of those days fighting on all fronts.

First day under the new regime.

Not awful but I do wish they would show the payout amount on the order page.

I miss the fluidity of PayPal already 😞

That payout of just one of the sales on Friday perhaps due to one of the sales fall before the cut off time, say noon then one sale must be over that time. The fees for manage payment is different than one you see before. This one is now including payment fees. You need to search for fees for manage payment sellers. The fees in your case may look higher as it's include GST. Payout details can be downloaded in payment tab. Fees for each transactions are listed, they are quiet detail.

I'm thinking of changing to weekly payouts, just to simplify income a bit. Only have to check the bank once a week etc. Any reasons against weekly payout that y'all can think of? Postage costs upfront aren't a concern as I have a large buffer to cover that. Are there any other issues that might crop up that I'm not aware of?

Did something just change or were my eyes just painted on ?
The fees are now showing up on the payments page.
I really hope they have been added recently 🙂

I do weekly payouts in 3 out 4 shops (only one of those is on eBay), the fourth I have set to monthly as it's not as high turnover as the other three. Very occasionally am I tempted to do a manual withdrawl (which is an option, I guess on ebay you would have to temporarily switch to daily for a bit, then switch back).

I'm pretty happy with this setup and haven't really ever considered going to daily. One of the main reasons is if you have daily payouts, and need to do a refund, the other sites draw on your attached bank account if your site account balance is $0 (and with one of them, this can incur foreign transaction fees, which I want to avoid), so I like to have available funds as much as possible. I used to think if there was an option to have say a $100 "float" in a payment account, then I might consider doing daily, but I'm used to having lump sum payments now, rather than dribs and drabs. I guess the biggest plus side for daily is that if there's a stuff up on a payment, it will affect a smaller percentage of your weekly revenue.

PS I did a refund via ebay the other night for a buyer that overpaid postage - I had $0 available funds as my first payout had been initiated, but there were funds in "processing" and the refund was taken from processing funds, in case anyone finds that info handy.

I read this as being 'no choice' so rather than fight I just signed up...
But now I keep getting reminders that I need to register for managed payments 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is anyone else having this issue?

And when does it switch over if you have registered?

or is literally everyone avoiding signing up for as long as possible? 😂
