Message results in "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

A buyer has been trying to send us messages and we have been trying to send them messages, but it continuously results in the error message of "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." when you hit send on the message. Anyone know whats going on?

Did any of you mention a phone number or an email address or any other form of contact in the messages? Ebay apparently won't let buyers and sellers exchange contact details and might block such messages.

I also am currently getting error message when sending messages using the eBay app or a mobile browser.

However, I am able to send messages using Firefox or Edge on a desktop computer (Windows 10).

If you have eBay messages sent to your email, you may be able to reply to the email directly (rather than using the blue "reply" button in the message) to send an eBay message to the user.
