Newly Listed Items Not Showing In Search Results

I've tried contacting eBay twice today regarding my tiems taking up to 24 hours to appear in search results. They keep telling me this is normal and part of their indexing process, but it isn't normal at all. Auctions aren't visible up until 24 hours and 1 minute after I list, so if that's the case, how am I supposed to get bids on a 24-hour auction? As usual, they have dismissed me and told me there's nothing wrong. I suppose I'll have to wait until enough people complain for them to fix it, again. I've listed over 100,000 items in the last 15 years and this has only started happening in the last 24 hours. I usually sell items within minutes of listing in my store, but now have to wait up to a day for them to appear. Is anyone having the same problem?

My first thought was, new seller. Then I looked at your feedback number, no way are you a new seller! It is normal for new sellers to have to wait 24 hours for their listings to appear (why, I don't know). There have been some glitches on the site recently, it's possible this is just another. Instead of one day auctions, maybe try 3 day auctions until whatever glitch is rectified? 

The other option is to contact ebay via the live chat option and see if they can shed some light.

I've gone through their live chat twice and been passed onto some tech team member who also tells me there's nothing wrong. I've contacted them dozens of times over the last 15 years with some new website problem, and they always tell me it's my browser or that there's nothing wrong. I usually then get an email a few days later telling me they are aware they are having technical difficulties and are trying to fix the problem. I've paid hundreds of thousands in fees to them over 15 years and they treat me like garbage. I'd hate to be a smaller seller.

I''ve listed over 100,000 items on eBay over 15 years and this has only started happening in the last day and a bit. I currently have over 10,000 items listed. If you look at my feedback and click on Items For Sale and sort by Newly Listed, you can see the times my items were listed. Up until yesterday, you can click on the item and see those times were the same as the actual time I listed. Now if you click on any items listed after yesterday, you will see there has been an 8+ hour delay in my items being listed.

Back to normal now. As usual, the useless eBay live chat staff were telling me that I am wrong and that this is normal, when the problem was magically  fixed. As I was taklking to him and he was repeatedly insisting that items take up to 36 hours to become live, I tried listing a sticker and it went up straight away. I wish they would listen to their customers instead of reciting lines from their script. eBay used to have great customer service, but it's been awful for the last 10 years or so. I used to be able to ring an Australian staff member who would fix my problem within minutes. Now I have to spend hours and hours going around in circles and achieve nothing. I pay enough in fees for them to hire a full-time operator, so don't understand why I can't get decent sservice. I get better help here.

You'll always get better help in the forums compared to the CS reps who are paid minimum wage in developing countries, who have probably never sold anything on Ebay themselves and who can't handle anything more than the most basic of enquiries.

Ebay has had a lot of glitches this week, perhaps a bit more than usual.

I normally try a different browser when things go a bit twitchy, which often helps.
