Price Gouging

Hey,

Within the help section you have an article on how to report an item for price gouging, and yet if you try to report an item there is no such option as the article describes. Could you please fix this, and while talking about price gouging, could you please pull down all these sellers that are putting up rediculous prices for the new generation consoles. It's disgusting, they shouldn't be getting a single dollar from being unpleasant and charging double the retail price. Please put a maximum listing price on the new gen consoles, or at least monitor what's going on.

Thank you,

S

And hype.

The need to have the latest and greatest, even though the pre-existing games work perfectly on the pre-existing platform.

Re: Price Gouging

If you had pre-ordered as suggested you would not come up with this problem.  Release dates are always well advertised.  If you really want the irem now you will have to pay whatever people ask.

"Pre-ordered as suggested". The pre-orders sold out in less than half an hour.

Re: Price Gouging

Then you wait for the next release. It's not rocket science.

And complaining about gouging is only relevant if you MUST have the item. I don't consider games consoles to be must have, especially, as noted, that you have to wait for the particular games ONLY suitable for the new console to be available. Which almost definitely only contain minor tweaks.

In answer to your original question - you can't, because it isn't.

So is that due to a lack of planning by the manufacturer, or a market strategy!.   Why would there ever be any legitimate reason for a pre order  of such an item to run out, when the manufacturer can simply produce humpteen million extra units to meet demand.

Instead by not releasing items sufficient to meet demand they are ensuring that the items sell at or above  RRP.

You snooze, you lose. I ended up with nearly 700 of them and have made a cracking profit! I am surprised how many people are prepared to pay upwards of $3,000 for them. I'm kicking myself I didn't buy more. I could pay my house off.

And, it's rIdiculous, not rEdiculous. I have no idea when people thought it was acceptable to use an E instead of an I. Each to their own though.
